Feeling marginally better after sausage and mash :j (not better enough to be jumping up and down mind you...) :D

Remembered about the last episode of Wolf Hall so just settling in to watch that :j :j

I've got Wolf Hall lining up on iplayer ... only seen the first ep, it looks excellent *and* weird - Cromwell's had such a bad press over the years! And Jonathan Pryce as Wolsey? He's not supposed to be that old :o

Well I've watched all 6 episodes now and it was brill :D Very good indeed :D I have the advantage of knowing very little about either the actors or the story mind you :rotfl: But I haven't heard anything bad about it from anyone!

Oooh, in a fit of over excitement we may have just emailed to arrange a house viewing :D :j

And because i'm not going to link to the place we're actually going to see, I thought i'd give you something completely outlandish to look at instead

Giant 12 bedroom mill anyone?! We could all get in there! Bring your own tarp in case it rains! :D

Ooh! I'd stay there on a weekend :) but to be honest with you, a single storey place that close to that much water on two sides? Scary, in these days of unknown flash floods all over the place! Looks gorgeous tho ...

I'm glad Wolf Hall carried on living up to its rep. Jonathan Pryce was a huge star in his day - the original star of Willy Russell's Blood Brothers, and starred with Whoopi Goldberg, plus a West End Hamlet, those are the highlights I can recall :) I'll download the last ep today.

Was Jonathan Pryce married to Madonna in Evita?

Glad you are feeling better Cheery although I would advise against jumping up and down after sausage and mash even if you are 100% :o

Good luck with the house viewing. When are you going to see it?

Don't know yet, we just fired off an email through RightMove at midnight last night so I'm waiting for a phone call :rotfl: For all I know they don't respond to things like that so I might ring them later if not!

Printed off appropriate land registry forms to change Mr Cheery's name and put my name on house deeds :j Need to find conveyancor to verify identity, and also suspect need to get legal advice as ours is a leasehold house so there may be something in there about notifying the leaseholder of transfers...

I've had a look through the lease, but since it's 116 years old and typed onto that mad giant tracing paper stuff and there isn't a single full stop in five pages, I found it a bit hard to decipher :o :rotfl:

Never had legal advice about anything - surely it's not going to cost £10,000 for them to check the lease?? :o

Ah! I didn't realise you'd emailed though RM.

I'm not sure about changing the name on the deeds. I'm pretty sure it's straightforward though as we did it when I started earning full time wages. But that was 11 years ago

It's pretty straightforward in general, but because we're leasehold there may be a clause about notifying the leaseholder. Could always just send it off and wait for the land registry to ring us up about it I suppose but that just delays things.

Of course, it might well draw the leaseholder's attention to the fact that they haven't actually collected the rent for the last 20 years  It's only 50p a year though so they've probably decided it's not worth the bother of knocking on the door :rotfl:
