    RING THAT LADY :rotfl:

Moving is a hassle. We seem to have moved loads (although I don't think we have really) and all the packing and unpacking! Plus it takes ages for you to get to know the house and where things will look better/be more useful so you are constantly moving things around. Then you can't find anything!

Glad you are feeling better today.

Yes I've been pleasantly surprised by the random nature of the acts of kindness I have received. Nothing major by any means but still so kind. For instance, this morning out of the blue a friend text and asked if I wanted her to stop as she passed the house this morning to pick DD up to take her to school. Her daughter goes to the same school and she passes here every day. But this morning, knowing I had worked last night, she offered to take DD to school for me. Little did she know DS was refusing to get dressed and was being a nightmare. So even though the school is so close (less than a mile) I was so grateful for that little act of kindness this morning

Aw, that's a lovely gesture from your friend :) How thoughtful :) The world is indeed a better place when people do things like that :)

I did ring the lady :D and she wasn't there :rotfl: However I did speak to a colleague, and I've sent her a detailed email and promised to ring tomorrow. Hope I'm not sick again! :rotfl:

I've lived in loads of places, but mostly shared houses so only had a room full of stuff to move and never got particularly attached to anywhere. Live with 2 other boyfriends before Mr Cheery :o but one on a boat and the other in a tiny flat (and moved out of both of those into shared houses again) so never accumulated much stuff.

Been here for, gosh, 7 years now (officially, although I might as well have lived here for at least 2 before that :rotfl: ) and Mr Cheery has been here about 26 so LOTS of stuff accumulated

Anyway, not going to get sidetracked into thinking about houses again - there's work to do! (although it's got to be lunchtime now, right??)

Moving house takes *such* a lot of effort, I agree - I like getting to know a new area, but the rest of it .... blah! I move around more than I buy and sell, so I rent out the place I own - done that a couple of times. Good thing I don't have anything hugely valuable!

Starnac, how lovely the Random Acts of Kindness is - I'm still at home more or less all the time, but I do enjoy partaking in that. I passed a windowcleaner on the way home last week, and we smiled and I mentioned how beautiful his dog was, and the dog trotted straight over to me and leant against my leg to be stroked **beams happily** that was very mutual :)

And I had a translation problem on here, on my sister's behalf, and a lovely bilingual friend gave me loads of help with it, much more than I asked for, so I could text it onwards and help my sister in turn.

    Life is good :)

    Life is indeed good :)

Thanks for the reminder - I confess I've spent much of today thinking life isn't very good at all :o :rotfl: But that's mostly because I still feel a little sick and have unwisely dragged myself all the way to the office rather than working at home - which I will be doing tomorrow.

    Bleurgh!

Feeling queasy is making me agitated about other things which normally would sail over my head so I'm just trying to keep everything in perspective.

Not remotely hungry, which is most unlike me, so trying to just eat the minimum to keep me from falling over.

Strongly suspect the problem is just chronic overeating over the past few weeks having caught up with me! :o :rotfl:

In more cheerful (slightly) news - been investigating work-related projects and if all goes to plan I'll be going up to full time for a few weeks this year. I already knew this, but it now looks like it's going to be pretty much April to September  The entire summer!!

Plenty of days off and holidays required I think

(need a lie down after that :rotfl: Must think of the money, think of the money, think of the money :money: :rotfl: )

Oh Cheery :grouphug: that doesn't sound awfully cheery at all :(

Yes, a no-travelling day tomorrow please :) and as for the job - yep, think of the money ;) If the queasiness carries on tho, a visit to the doc in order?

If it carries on past the weekend I might - but really it doesn't feel serious, and I haven't actually *been* sick so hopefully it'll pass by itself :)

Not thrilled at the prospect of having to cycle back to the station in half an hour mind you!

Cheery hope you are feeling better soon but I do agree with KC maybe a trip to doc is in order if it doesn't pass.

You're not pregnant are you?? ;)
