I just bought mine from a wedding dress factory shop. It cost £700 but doing a bit of research it should have been at least £1200. I was so tempted to buy a 2nd hand one off ebay but I am so glad I didn't. I must have tried on at least 10 dresses in the shop before I found one that actually suited me. I just wasn't confident that I would buy the right one off ebay. I have just bought a 2nd hand tiara at £30 instead of £120 and my veil will be 2nd hand from ebay too. There is no way on earth that I am paying the ridiculous prices that they charge in the bridal shops for these items.0

Mine cost £500 from a lady who sells second hand dresses from her attic (weird, I know). It is a beautiful dress which requires a bit of alteration at a cost of £130. The lady was really lovely and so helpful.
Can't wait to wear it in May!!0 -
I've been a bit cheeky. Mine should be £950. However my friend is a seamstress and is making me a replica fro a fraction of the cost plus it will be made to measure. I knew when I saw the picture it was perfect and that was the dress for me and nothing else would do. My friend then said she woiuld make my dress if I wanted so I took her with me for a second "try on" and she sneakily made some notes. She's also making the bridesmaid dresses for meEveryone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0

I ordered mine on Saturday. Tried on 10 in the first shop and found one I thought I loved, went to a second shop and the first one there blew the others out the water. Tried on another 5 there and 5 at a third and final shop, but knew that the one in the second shop was the one for me. It's a Maggie Sottero and was £1195, but was given £100 towards veil/accessories. More than I had originally planned on spending but it was perfect and I can't find it second hand anywhere.
