I had my wedding dress made by a very good and talented friend! It cost £25 - 30 years ago x

Could you find a dressmaker (google) and take pictures etc to show them- it will save you loads

My Maggie Soterro dress was £1500. No way was I paying that. So I got it second hand for a third of the price off eBay. I took it to a seamstress to be altered and she was speechless, she said it was spotless for secondhand, no tears, drags or stains.

  • 550 reduced from 850!!! Was going to get a Monsoon one for 400 (although was hoping would go in the sale - I saw it has since gone to 200!) but then found mine and loved it :) Had to buy it there and then to secure discount price.

£300 12 years ago from a little hippy boutique. I still have it and trot it out for the odd fancy dress party as it's medieval style velvet.
