Just checked with my bank and they won't let me overpay my loan, despite all the interest being added at the beginning:mad:

That means any money towards my loan will have to go into my savings account with the CC money (CC 0% til 1st Oct), and any OD money can go straight into the current account...

Also just realised the enormity of my challenge :o

Hi everybody - what a great idea! - am in need of a challenge at the minute - have been feeling a wee bit despondent about ever paying this all off - would like to aim to pay off Cahoot loan by Christmas (currently at just under £2000 to go). Will be such a boost to clear this one as I feel i have had it for so long. Like everyone else, i will also be paying back on other debts as well.

Quite a challenge we are also getting married before the end of the year, and working v hard to have a really special day with people we love, without sliding back down the slippery debt slope to do it!

Am going to have to explore selling some stuff on amazon/ebay i think as unlikely to earn anymore in the meantime, and am already budgeting pretty hard.

Good luck everyone, and really looking forward to seeing how we all get on:T :T :T x

Ok, so I am off the starting line:j
I have just recieved £5.74 into my Amazon Seller account... a small start, but at least it's a start :D

P.S - hopefully this will bump back up to the first page, and we'll get some more players :D

Hi - I'd love to get to £30,000 by Christmas - a massive target for me, but I'm hopeful that with all the bits and pieces and challenges I'm doing, it might just be possible! Only paying £464 off a month at the moment with CCCS, although this will rise at the end of Spetember, so I do need to raise quite a bit extra. Will ebay/amazon/continue with the surveys etc as well as all the other hints and tips from the 2 challenges. Soooo many :D

This will hopefully give me something to aim towards, rather than just raising £1000 etc (although that's a motivation in itself!lol)

Hi Lucy1982This is a great challenge. I am currently on a DMP but would love to raise a bit more money to put towards it and bring my debt free date forward. On top of what I pay monthly I would love to raise an extra 100.00 per month on top of that. Im currently trying to complete the pay off a 1000.00 in a month challenge , but failing miserably. So far with nearly one month gone I have raised 75.00. With this in mind I think 100.00 per month is probably more achievable for me. Its only a little but it all helps.....M

Hi all I'd like to join too please. :D

I have £1,858.19 on a NatWest credit card to pay off. It's a new card (as recommended by Mr Lewis himself) with 13 months 0%. So in order to keep myself on track to pay it off before the end of the 13 months, I'd like to aim to clear half the balance by Christmas. So my target is £929.10, and anymore than that will be a huge bonus.

    Good luck everyone :T

    Wow!

I'll update my first post with everyone taking part and I think so long as we all support each other anything we pay off will be worth while.

I go to slimming world... so yes I have a consultant!!! I wasn't always this slim!!

I've started putting my coppers into my bumble bee piggybank so once I have a reasonable amount in there I'll pay that off my OD.

    Good Luck everyone.

    Hi Sarah

That's a real pain. I am really lucky I can overpay, although not quite in the position to at the moment. But just think at least your CC will be paid off quicker! Can you not even make on lump payment a year?

It's not a challenge if it's easy!! But good luck and we will manage it, one way or another.

Unfortunately no lump sum payments, so I'll just have to sit on the money until I have enough to pay completely...

I am really looking forward to the challenge(s) I've set myself - I'm def someone who needs lots of motivation! I've joined the Olympics II and Change jar challenge, so the fruits of both of those will help with this one, and I'm also going to 'gamble' some of the money I've saved already and embark on a Matched Betting mission, so hopefuly that'll help too!

    Good luck to everyone

I'm scared of matched betting, so it's not something I'm going to try. I've decided I have enough junk (quality items) to Amazon and carboot so that's the way I'm going.

Just going to save any small amounts of money I come across and pay them into my OD as my Store card should be ok to pay off before Christmas.
