please may i join in Lucy?

I've set myself a goal to be out of my overdraft for christmas so this challenge would be great for me.

I have a £1000 overdraft, plus I know that xmas will cost me about £200, so I aim to have saved 260/1300 by xmas (5 months)! oh my days! that is one tough call as im only on £800/mth but I can do it if I really work hard at it.

    thanks

    Hi, can I join.....
We've bought some plane tickets to Oz this month. Cost about 3.5k for 6 of us, I think we've got the money for most of it, but would like to pay off the rest with this challange. I'll be able to update the exact total by the end of the month, but I think its about 1.5k.....I'm hoping to do it just by shaving money off our normal budget for food etc..
I've joined the olympic challenge and there is only so much money I can find!! So I've decided to use different things for the different challenges....so this one is saving money from normal budget...

How are others working it out when they are doing more than one challenge??

    Hello everyone!

I hope you have all been well in the last week. Sorry to hear you have been off work Lucy, I hope you are feeling better now.

I've had a great holiday, apart from the disaster of my car being broken into. Just what I need. I did spend more than I intended, but I hope to get that made up for this month. Feeling refreshed and ready to face the challenge again!

    Hey Guys.

Just thought I'd pop in. Everyone is welcome to join and I will update the first post in a second.

Feeling a bit better so will hopefully be fine going back to work next monday. The last couple of days have been better moneysaving wise and I didn't spend anything yesterday and I am hoping for the same today. Can't update my sig yet, but I have a couple of payments leaving my account soon which can be added. So hopefully my figure will go up again soon.

Really pleased to see that everyone is doing ok. I'll try and get onto the net again later in the week. If not see everyone on Monday

I hope you are back soon and feeling better. I've just made another payment and updated my sig. It would have been more but my son is growing out of all his clothes and I've had to buy him some new stuff. arggghh!

my son is growing out of all his clothes

Sounds like a great opportunity for ebaying to make some money back! Either that or get the clothes together with toys he has outgrown and do a bootsale. Good luck!
