I'm happy because its Friday! It's only one week until pay day (I've not spent it all, we lumped all my wages in the savings acc!) and I've next Friday afternoon off to buy some much needed new work clothes.
I'm also happy as my boyfriend and I have booked Valentines Day off so hopefully we can have a long romantic weekend!0 -
I'm happy with my life in general. I have a wonderful husband (who has today on his day off driven a couple of hours to pick up an ebay bargain dressing table as I've always wanted one!); two fabulous young children who make me laugh everyday (albeit testing the boundaries at some point also); two cats and we've recently moved into what we hope is our forever home.
We both are lucky enough to be employed and are in good jobs and most importantly we are all in good health. Someone we know the same age as my husband unfortunately cannot claim good health and it brings home to you just how lucky you are that your family is.0 -
Having had a really rubbish 'blue Monday' kind of week I've had a really cheering time at DD1s parents evening. Her teacher said she just loves DD as she's so sweet and funny and brightens up her day. She's also really kind and always thinks of other people before herself. She's sailing ahead with the work too but I'm so happy that's she's being prized for who she is and being recognised for her lovely nature.:j
Also we've already finished the reading/homework/spellings and it's fish and chips for tea! :T:T:T0 -
I'm afraid I've had a grim week too.
That said, its Friday and my favourite day of the week..
I'm looking forward to DH coming home when we can come home, Rin in to the kitchen , I can rip his suit off him......
And he can help me finish scrubbing this stupid concrete floor.0 -

It is indeed, fantastic stuff!
I still feel wiped out and a bit fevery, but my tonsils and glands are definitely less swollen after 2.5 days of penicillin

Another one here who gets a huge grin on her face when greeted by her cat after a long crappy day at work
It kinda puts a smile on my face when she nudges my face in the mornings in an attempt to wake me upI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Thank you Kayalana99, this is a lovely idea for a thread
I am very happy because after a year I finally realised that my job was not worth all the stress. I was exhausted, suffering from anxiety and had lost my work/life balance. After bursting into tears, at work, one too many times I made the decision to demote myself and return to my previous role which had given me a lot of joy and satisfaction.
I now feel relaxed, I'm able to switch off from work as soon as I leave, I have my passion for life back and I have the energy to exercise, go out with friends, enjoy reading, cooking, gardening etc. I am no longer the impatient, short tempered, unhappy person that I had become at work and have returned to the happy, friendly, supportive person I used to be. I feel like I'm in a good place0
