I'm feeling happy as I had a good shift at work, fish and chips for tea and I'm looking forward to a nice link soak in the bath later.

Also my bf is coming up on Sunday so that makes me feel extra happy :D

Girl calf just been born safely :)
  • I'm 35 and very happy. I have (in no order of importance) an OH I adore, an 8 year old son I treasure, a career I enjoy greatly, and a forthcoming second son I'm looking forward immensely to meeting and getting to know.

My parents are in their early 60s, and happy. They spend their time doing things they enjoy (including working, still quite hard, in my Dad's case in paid employment). They have children they quite like, and see regularly, and 1 and 6/9ths grandchildren (see above) who they also tolerate. They enjoy spending time with each other, and also enjoy separate and, to them, fascinating hobbies.

I'm happy :) Exercise and diet are going very well, health is on the up in general, I have a lovely husband who just schlepped 260 tins of catfood into the house in the rain, a great job that pays well, and a houseful of cats and books. What more does a girl want?

New permanent job at the start of December, still going well (touch wood) and I get paid next week. After years of temping and barely earning enough to get by, I now have money to spare and a shopping list of treats I want to buy. I get on well with my colleagues and have been to quite a few Christmas dos, birthday drinks, lunches out with them - it's great. I'm one of the last out on Fri night and get to take the reception flowers home, this week I have pink lilies in the kitchen.

I joined a gym a fortnight ago. 1st week I came down with a bad cold and was too rough and tired to exercise, but this week I've been 3x and am really enjoying my workouts. I'd forgotten how good it feels to exercise. Pauline, I'm getting to grips with the kettlebell squats, swings and deadlifts! I saw a bit of the Zumba class last night and it looked so good I've signed up for next week's.

Also the instructor gave me diet advice to follow, it's all low-carb and high-protein, easy to follow as I love meat & seafood, and not only did I notice after a week that my clothes were looser and weighed myself to find I'd lost 4lb, but I look and feel good on the diet. My skin and hair are in great condition, I'm not yawning by 4pm and my diabetes is more stable than it's been in years. I didn't realise how yucky I felt day-in-day-out until I didn't anymore, if that makes any sense!

My birthday was last weekend and it was nice if quiet. Late Jan is a rubbish time of year for a birthday so I've decided to organise something for next month instead and plenty of people seem interested in coming for a night out.

I'm having a nice little flirtation with a man at work, we get on incredibly well and chat and laugh about all sorts of geeky things. I don't know if we'll end up getting together, but even if we don't he's becoming a brilliant friend. And we can never have too many of those.
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

I have had a busy week in a job I love (90% of the time) and I am sitting on the sofa watching some carp TV...

I know I am truly blessed. I am alive and breathing! I have an OH who isn't perfect - but has his good points! my kids are perfect of course.....though they do come with problems. my grandkids are beyond perfect!!!!!!!!!! adore them.
I have a purrfect Persian cat who I love to bits.
I have retired from work - Yippee!
I have enough money - not too much - could do with a few million more ...........but couldn't everyone?
I love where I live and love to holiday elsewhere!
all in all I think I have a pretty good life. so I am disabled and cant do some things. the things I HAVE make up for it.

Good for you, keep swinging that kettle.
