Thanks for your response mum to one.
My mobile contract has only just been renewed and is used as the house phone really, unlimited mins, unlimited text.
I did reduce my package for cable services but my husband but it back up during the Motorsport season. He gives me extra money per week to pay for this listed under other income. As soon as the motorbike season is finished I will drop it back down.
Washing machine cover I took out when my washing machine broke. It's been repaired 3 times. I will look at my contract for this I know I had to have it for a certain amount of months before I can cancel. I will dig the paperwork out and have a look
My student loan is going to be coming out my wages soon. I'm waiting for payroll to sort it I'm hoping that the student bursary overpayments stop by then so I don't notice a difference.
I spoke to my car finance company I can make overpayments either monthly or make a lump sum payment. I know this is way off in the future though.
I've noticed other users put their spending, in their diaries I'm going to start to record all my spending, a good time to start as just got paid. Might help me be more focused. The only thing I have left to add is my new gym, my last gym was £40 a month found a cheaper one for £17.50.:j3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Hi hon
Nice to see you back but such a shame that you're down on yourself as to the reason why. I think the fact you've lapsed but have realised where, how, why and what to do next is a good thing. I firmly believe you have to mess up at least once or you don't appreciate what you're doing properly.
With regards to cutting back. First of all I'd see if you can reduce your satellite bill. I've no idea what you have but I've got quite a good package and I only spend £42 - although I still think that's too much!
Car insurance. Did you say you've paid for that as a one off? If so could you round up the £91 to £100 and put that to your CC? £250 a month on £2170 would clear that in no time. Also, does that 2170 include OH car insurance?
The only other thing I would look at is petrol/diesel costs. They seem high but then you've obviously got a big car (I'm purely guessing from the costs of other car related items). Is there anyway you can reduce these? Even replacing one car journey a week by walking could help?
Apart from that not really sure hon. But tackling it is brilliant and we're here to support you all the way.
Good luck!xx

Hiya,
Thanks for responding sassychick :-)
I've almost finished sorting my car insurance renewal out will pay for the year tomorrow. That's my plan :-) anyway...
My fuel costs I can't alter as I work 18 miles away from home.
Today I did an extra shift won't get paid until next week for it but I've got two events this weekend so the extra shifts will cover the costs for those event one includes a night in a hotel me and work colleague sharing a room so will only be £18 each. Saves me a whole lot of money in taxi fees.
Got another extra shift tomorrow this I will put towards my CC when I get paid nxt week.
I have made a new 1% chart for my CC. This really helped me last time so will use it again.
I did well with the school and work lunch box shop the other day spent £18 for four of us for two weeks. I will just need to replace fillings for the kids I got all my cup a soups and cup a pastas, plenty of cereal bars and crisps.
I'm returning some items I brought from !kea tomorrow, Just a few bits that haven't been taken out of their packaging and haven't been put up my the DH yet. Don't really need them so Returning about £30 worth of items better than nothing.
Plus I'm remembering to turn off my data roaming and 3G when I leave the house to ensure I don't go over my mobile contract and incur extra charges. :-)
Now I'm going to read some other diaries to get some motivation. I just can't believe I caved so quickly last time :-(3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Dont be hard on yourself, if you ask anyone with debts theres been a time where we have all caved in, me included, - but its turning it into a positive, you know where you went wrong, just re-evaluate payment plan, it could be that youve tried to be good and it was a tight squeeze and there was a blow out.
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Well I think I'm doing okay this week..
I went out this weekend to a tribute night on one night, a night in a hotel and a wedding and spent £50 in total I don't think that's too bad.
I've spent the past couple of weeks trying to clear my OHs clutter because it's slowly spreading from the garage to outside the house to the porch, hallway and into the kitchen. I've made at least three trips to the tip not that his noticed! He hasn't done any of the DIY jobs still waiting to be done, just getting frustrated that he has no get up and go when it comes to sorting things out. Rant over!!
I've got my DS birthday this month I've ordered a cake from a friend at work and just need to check for groupon for a voucher as he wants to take a friend karting.
My SIL brought me a clock a few years ago with picture frames instead of numbers on it I'm finally getting round to putting pictures in it today.
I will tidy under the stairs today, it's got my OH's band equipment under there which will be fine if it was neat. Just needs a good Hoover and packing neatly, I will get that done too today.
My last to do for the day is put a picture frame up in the girls bedroom, I'm sick of asking OH to do it. Wish he had just a little bit of home pride. He doesn't understand why I don't want bits of motorbike, or tools in the kitchen or hallway.
Again rant over lol.3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Spoke to my younger sister earlier she saves her CB money and uses for everything her daughter needs clothes etc. I really want to start doing this this I've mentioned this before but do.3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Productive day,
I was a woman armed with a hammer and box of nails, pictures went onto walls, clocks went up and batteries replaced. I cleared under the stairs and OHs equipment is packed neatly. DS new cupboard that was put up last month I finally got the doors put on it.
5 wash loads all dried and ironed too. I'm off to bed in a min or so after I've done the dreaded job of pairing socks.
Spend diary starts today as I keep meaning to do it but always forget.
I spent £6 on three flexi tubs. Needed a good storage solution for clothes. One for each kids room for clean clothes that they can then put away in their drawers. At the moment the ironing goes on a clothes rail and each everyone gets there own clothes and puts it in the wardrobe works great. But clothes for the drawers ends up sat on the sofa til everyone collects and at least with the tubs I can put everyone's things in. So it's money well spent help reduce the clothes everywhere.
I also found a groupon deal for my sons birthday for gokarting paid £36 for two them.
So £42 spent today. Nothing paid towards my debt but the house is getting sorted.3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Finally got round to buying the cheaper insurance quote for my car today :-) relief xx
Bad news the voucher I brought yesterday I just realised is not for under 16 anymore it was last year but they have stopped doing it. Going to see if I can return it.
So my spends today
£453 for my car insurance (haven't done hubby's yet)
£2 on spaghetti hoops and bread which I will eat before my night shift tonight.
Got three wash loads done today and a bit more general tidying done no DIY jobs. Now I'm having a 45 min rest in bed before getting ready for night shift. I should be able to check the system tonight and check how much I'm getting paid for my OT last week.3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

It's 05:30am and finally on a lunch break at work so I'm going to update my diary now as I will be going straight to bed when I get in from work later.
Checked the system I'm getting paid £150 after tax for the OT I did last week on Thursday I don't think I will be able to use it for Debt payment though.
With my DS birthday coming up and I've just paid the car insurance in full I need some money in my account to not leave it in £0 balance.
My OH gives me £36 a week to put towards the car insurance, the virgin and the car. I think I will just put this amount straight onto CC when it lands in my bank account.
Found two DD payments to contact lenses company I had cancelled last year. yesterday I phoned them up and complained will be getting a refund it's £18 but I can but that to good use.
Tomorrow I will be spending £20 for diesel and that should be my only spend.
I'm working again tomorrow night so no big things to do list from me just a few items:
Wednesday things to do;
Two wash loads
Get hubby to clear at least two things from porch. (this will be harder than it sounds)
Sort hubby's car insurance out
Get refund from karting and rebook somewhere else
Put diesel in car3rd LBM July 2014: Debt [STRIKE]£31,416.68[/STRIKE] Down To: [STRIKE] £23,403.43[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]15th July: £25,709.83[/STRIKE] 26th March: £31,229.68

Morning Trixxibell
I hope you're having a well deserved sleep!
It's a bummer about the karting so fingers crossed you'll get your money back, I can't see why there'd be a problem.
I wish I could pay my car insurance off in one lump like you do as it's psychologically financially beneficial for me. Pay a heap once a year seems a way better idea than over each month but atm that's how I have to do it so there we are.
Good luck with your hubby and the porch!
Have a good dayxx
