    Close-Up toothpaste.
    Blue Stratos aftershave.
    Tiffin bars.
    Mojo sweets.
    Corona drinks.
Cresta drinks - it's frothy man (actually they weren't that nice).
    Acid drops.

Nice to see someone else remembers Cresta. I only liked the Strawberry one though.

Does anyone remember some type of rissoles?
They were shop bought in the 70's, we were allowed them with HM chips on the odd Saturday night as a big treat, as mum thought they were rubbish food, and they probably were!!
    But I loved them.
I can't remember how she bought them now, or where from, it would have been an independent grocer type shop, or butcher, but I think they came in a packet or box-so maybe not the butcher.

Does anyone remember the parties in the late 70's when the choice of food was only either chicken portion & chips in a basket or scampi & chips in the basket?
Usually the chicken was quite greasy-would it have been deep fried in oil at the same time as the chips? Not actually together tho!

Also the smoke machine from the mobile disco, I remember sitting on the floor in a line with your legs around the person in front & the smoke machine blasting out, doing ........was it "ops upside your head" or something like that???????????

So many of you on here have such good memories of days gone by, I wonder if anyone remembers this chap's name? In the early 70's there was an American "keep fit" programme on morning tv, featuring an instructor who always wore a light blue tracksuit. He did all the excercise routines etc on a cliff top in, maybe, California (I am guessing at that as the sky was always blue and the sun always shining!). DH and I used to love watching this programme as it seemed so much more interesting than watching Eileen Fowler in the studio!

Every so often we bring this subject up but we can never summon up his name! Anyone remember?

No, but I remember the Green Goddess-was it Diana Moran, she was probably after when you are remembering 80's?

Some of my of past favourites are still on sale, but they've changed the recipe or size.

just did a little google and found this.....
Rissoles were made by Ross Frozen Foods not BirdsEye. They were a mix of mince beef/cereal and slightly spicey covered in bread crumbs cirular in shape approx 1/2" in depth.

    YES, yes yes!!!
I remember the Ross packets now, and the crunchy coating! I LOVED those rissoles!! We didn't have chains of any supermarket near us, so it would have been the independent grocer where she bought them from.
The place was called "Sea View Stores" it's now a house, back then I remember it was an Aladdin's Cave of goodies.

I had a cringe worthy moment in that shop when I was about 7. Picked up a pack of sanitary towels-not knowing what they were. Tugged on the back of my mothers green coat (can remember the coat like yesterday)to ask what they were for, the person in the green coat turned around, and it wasn't my mother!!!!!!:rotfl:

When they changed the whipped centre of the Milky Way they brought out another choc bar called Flyte, using the original Milky Way centre I believe. Yummy. About the same size as a Flake but in a brown wrapper. Is that the one you remember ? We saw them in the local Makro just the other week - no I didn`t buy any, I managed to resist.

I used to love Spangles and the Olde English ones were my favourite.

Favourite perfume was Finesse, by Yardley I think it was.
Oh, and Tweed was another regular. Saw it in the local chemist just before Christmas, a blast from the past.
No, it wasn't Flyte; it was one back in the 70s - I'll have to do a bit of googling...

I adored Zest soap, a bright yellow lemon scented bar that seemed to disappear along with the 80's, loved Cadbury's Snowflake bars and also the Cadbury's Cream Liqueur chocolate drink. I got a bottle of this for Xmas 92 but it didn't seem to be on the market for very long - these days I'd probably find it a bit sickly.
