I'd forgotten Quelque Fleurs! Yes I liked that one as well - but not as much as Chantilly!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Do you remember the Tip-Ex (think it was that make) strips, that you put into the type writer when you'd made an error, and typed over them to correct the error?
Also the carbon in the middle of 2 sheet of paper to make a copy for the file?
(I don't miss it-just remembering...............)
Yes, I do and not fondly either. I used to have to make one original and two carbons, so correcting mistakes was a nightmare with the sheets slipping about all over the place. And which idiot sadist decided that the letter "A" should be typed with your pinkie?0 -
Can you still get tracing paper? I used it to transfer designs onto furniture for hand painting.
eta : NO not tracing paper, that blue paper you slipped in between that would transfer the design from a tracing to the furniture.
What's it called ... erm ....oh 'eck, senior moment (again).Normal people worry me.0 -
I also remember 'Tramp' perfume. It appeared as I was leaving school. I went to a different school in the sixth form and got on the bus home 2 stops early. My sister used to swear she could smell this perfume and sure enough there I would be sitting upstairs when she got on. I hope I am a bit more restrained now!0

Winter Mixture and Victory V Lozenges. Back in the day Victory Vs contained ether (or was it chloroform) and consuming a whole packet could make you feel a bit squiffy.0

I miss Smiths crisps with the little blue salt sachet in the bag.
Anyone remember Frother bars? They were a hot favourite of the penny sweets along with Fruit Salad and Black Jacks.
You can still get Salt & Shake crisps, Tesco and Asda both sell them (Walkers now, but they took over Smiths...the crisp factory is just across the field from me)
I used to LOVE Terry's Pyramint, dark chocolate pyramid shaped thing with a mint fondant filling. They weren't around for that long! And when they were around I think I accounted for half their sales...0
