  • You are right! There is a tremendous feeling of satisfaction on a completed 'to do' list, especially if you've managed that on a can't be ars*d sort of day. Well done.

The massage sounds like a god send. Roll on Friday and that money hitting the bank. Fingers and toes crossed.

  • Morning all!

So, this morning has been an up and down morning and it's only just 9am!! The heating in my bathroom packed up 3 weeks ago & the company I have my boiler with - and my insurance/warranty - have been really rubbish and just not bothered to return my calls, answer my emails of complaints and have removed my complaint & blocked me from their Facebook page. So professional huh?

I've been getting really annoyed about the lack of service as well as the lack of heat but it all came to a head this morning when, after putting a little heater in the bathroom, my littley went in to get washed for school & exclaimed "oooh it's warm in here!!" I could have cried at how happy she was for a little bit of heat.

So this morning I managed to get hold of someone who actually sounded like they gave a monkeys. Albeit she was the 4th person they passed me too. Anyway, she claims her manager will be calling me back today (yeah right) and will hopefully get this sorted. It's absolutely ridiculous. On the plus side, at least we're not in a part of the country that is being totally battered with bad weather but it's still pretty grotty and having to have showers in a cold bathroom isn't the best way to start the day.

Sorry! Rant over. Just needed to vent!

  • On a brighter note we walked to school today again, even in this grotty rain and wind so that's another 45p! £3.60 already this month so super happy. On an even brighter note I'm sure my thighs aren't as angled as they used to be so smoother legs could be another benefit!

  • Better out than in, and that is the beauty of these diaries, as an outlet and focus point. I would be inclined to threaten them with trading standards if the matter is not resolved very soon as their treatment of you is completely unacceptable.

Snow is forecast here for tomorrow, so there could be some really cold weather on the way.

Sculpted thighs .... you could have paid a fortune for those, but you have been paid £3.60 instead. RESULT.

  • I'd so much rather have snow that the rubbishy rain we're having. I'm sure it hasn't stopped since Noah built that boat!! But at least we're not flooded, just swimming to school :)

I'm very happy with my sculpted thighs but then again it could be that my jeans are getting old... no, I'll stick with sculpted thighs!

  • Morning all

So, yesterday wasn't a good day for me really - didn't hear back from the boiler people (there's a surprise) & was waiting on another call that I didn't get. I also didn't get paid and I now have another invoice that is due to me and can't see me getting that for a few days yet. With half term next week it's a bit of a worry.

My aunt in Australia also contacted me to say my elderly aunt & uncle are deteriorating & my uncle got diagnosed with a brain tumour on Monday. To say this is a shock is an understatement. I'm now in that rubbish predicament of wanting to go out there but not being able to due to money. The holiday I've been saving for is to take littley out there to meet these wonderful people before it's too late & I'm now wondering if that's going to be possible. I've decided to stop throwing every spare penny at my debts for the foreseeable future & try and put it towards this trip which makes me feel like I'm failing in trying to sort my debts. I've never paid minimum on anything and so will round it up to nearest £5 so I don't feel too rubbish. Maybe he'll be fine and they'll both be around for another 10 years or so, who knows?

I got a new contract recently & haven't budgeted that in anywhere - not even as income - as I was going to shove it straight at debts so hopefully that will sort this out sooner rather than later. If I get paid of course.

Anyhoo, today's another day & I'm feeling way more positive than the words I've just typed will let me believe so let's get cracking!

    Have a good day everyone!

  • Sassychick,

Sorry to hear about the relatives abroad, I can see why you would want to put money into the trip rather than the debt. xx I didn't want to read and run, sending hugs.

I hope you get somewhere with the boiler company, I've recently been through the multiple phone calls drama. Hope you get through and sorted soon.

  • Hey hun

    Big hugs to you!!

I'd been on and off here at work all day but for some reason I missed your update. I swear sometimes my subscriptions list doesn't update itself.

I'm so sorry to hear about your relatives. Sending lots of positive thoughts in your direction.

I don't blame you for changing the focus of your money for the time being. Whilst it would be nice to be debt-free sooner, sometimes there's some things in life that are just more important.

I hope you hear from the boiler people soon - sounds like they've been giving you a right runaround... what shysters!

Keep your chin up and keep on at it :)
    xx
  • Hi Sassy, life is such a juggling act isn't it, and with the best intentions and plans in the world there are always curved balls being thrown at us, and difficult decisions to be made. You'll get there, the route might just need to be a bit circuitous x.

I am so sorry to hear about your uncle x.

  • Morning all

So, found out this morning that last night I fell asleep on the sofa as wasn't feeling well and my daughter put me to bed and sung me to sleep. Have mixed feelings about this as I shouldn't have been so useless but also so proud that my daughter was so thoughtful.

Haven't heard any more news about my uncle so not sure what's going on there. Will hopefully hear more tonight.

Funnily enough, didn't hear from boiler people so rang them again and got very bored woman refusing to deal with the complaint, refused to let me speak to a manager and generally went out of her way to make me feel like a nuisance. Have emailed another complaint and so will wait to hear back - or not! Funnily enough still haven't got a date of when someone can come and look at the boiler so still having a cold bathroom.

On a plus side I got paid today - yay! Such a relief and means the mortgage can now be paid. I'm off to try and do some work - none done today yet, so bad! - so speak later.

    Have a good day!
