Hey hun
The mother and daughter pampering session sounds heavenly. What a lovely treat for you both to look forward to! You may have already said but I can't remember - how old is your daughter?
Can't blame you for taking the car on the way home today - the weather turned nasty! Well done for making the walk this morning though :j When will you count up all the 45ps?
Have a lovely eveningx

Morning all!
My bestie got us a gift voucher for Christmas so not only is the pampering sesh a lovely treat but it's a free one! My daughter's 8 and is having some glitter tattoos done as the other options "Mummy can do better". Such faith! I'm not sure what I'm having but think I'll go for a manicure/pedicure as the other options aren't with my daughter - massages etc.
On telling my mum this she appeared a few hours later with a voucher for a head, neck & back massage for me as a thank you for running her around - so double bonus to me! I'm so flippin spoilt at times by those who love me, must be doing something right!
FU, my daughter's nearly 9. In fact her birthday is in about 3 and a half month's and I very proudly bought her first present today as it was reduced from £9.99 to £3.99. Very tempted to give it to her today as a treat but know that defeats the point of budgeting - so it's gone in the birthday/Christmas cupboard.
I've also put another £5 over into the Christmas fund so that's now £65 in there, I should be at £50 by the end of the month. Really chuffed with this as I have other things I want to save for and seeing how easy it's been I can't wait to get cracking.
Rainbow, I've added a walk to school piece in my signature & am trying to remember to update it each time we walk. So far we're up to £2.25 and it's only the 7th. However there is half-term coming up so we'll lose a bit there. I may take littley into the city one day and walk there/bus back & put a few pennies across. It has to be good weather though as it's just under 3 miles but a nice walk along a river & park area.
I am also immensely proud of the fact I went to Aldi's today & managed to get out with spending under a tenner in there. I always spend more as everything's so cheap. However, in this tenner I got the birthday pressie mentioned above as well as vitamins that I was running low on (3 months worth) so I'm really chuffed.
I've not actually done any work today so I better clear off and do some or I won't get paid, oh hang on. I still haven't been paid from last month so it doesn't really matter if I work or not! grrrr
Have a good day everyone!! xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

The pampering day with your daughter sounds wonderful, what a thoughtful gift. I am very fond of kids, and can imagine just how exciting a day out like that would be for a wee girl.
My friend is starting a new job in March and has asked me to look after her 7 year old daughter on Wednesday's through the holidays. I will pick your brains for some ideas to keep her entertained, frugally. I am looking forward to it."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Ooh there's so many things you can do! Last year I had about £30 to spend on the whole holiday so we had 2 nights camping which came to £14 (I know someone who works there and she gave us a really good deal saving us around £15).
We then did an A-Z of the holidays and worked it out between us of things to do. The best was O where we invited some of her friends round and we did the Olympics in the back garden. Running, bin bag races, cushion tossing etc. Cost absolutely nothing to do, got pics of the day printed on a Photobox offer (where we just paid a few quid for p&p so worked out at about 5p a pic) and was informed by all 3 kids that it was "the best day EVER!!".
I also got her doing some chores and included those without her realising we were doing chores - such as P for "painting the shed" lol she loved it. One day she'll twig and then I'm doomed!! xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Morning all, how were your weekends?
Well, as it hailed, rained and was really windy here my fence is still hanging on it's side in the garden as I couldn't really sort it out. My theory being that if it's been like that a month or so then it can stay a bit longer. Also, if it does blow down totally it will save me trying to break it down! Not sure that's a good theory but it's the only one I got!
We walked to school again today so that's another 45p into the pot. I realised over the weekend that I hadn't budgeted for my daughter's birthday properly so am including that money in the Christmas money. I'm trying to do her party/presents for half as much this year and she's already told me she only wants her bestie to go and do stuff with rather than the 8 she usually has so I think I'll be able to stick to the budget. I've also told her I'll put £20 into the holiday pot and when we go away she can have an extra special birthday treat which she's happy with.
Hope you all have a great day! xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Morning hun
I wouldn't worry too much about the fence just yet - the way the weather has been anyway, if you rushed into fixing it it's liable to just get blown down again!!
What are you planning to do for your daughter's birthday? I'm sure there's tons of lovely things you will be able to do without blowing the budget
Have a great day!x0 -
Morning!
She loves going tubing so we're doing that. It's a tenner each so that'll only be £30. We also invite a few other family members but make them pay for themselves. We did it last year but with a few more friends so this year will be cheap! She then wants her friend to have a sleepover so have told her they can get a film off sky & will go to 99p store for some snacks/treats. I have a budget & really want to stick to it but I've put aside another bit extra (which I'm trying to forget about!) just in case lol.
Today's being a really rubbishy day and I'm not really sure where my backside is hanging tbh! Am all cold and tired and needing cuddles from my little girl - roll on Friday!!
Have a good day too xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Did you get paid? I hope so, that is stress that you could do without! If today is a write-off, just put it down as a well deserved duvet day, and tackle the world head on tomorrow x."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Evening!
Well, I'm not sure how I did it but I managed to get everything done today. Not sure if I've mentioned it but I use a great to do list website that I keep open on one of the many browsers I have open each day and tick everything off - the feeling of satisfaction when it's clear is brilliant! Somehow I managed to get the list all done before I picked my daughter up from school so I'm really happy with that. Although it make me wonder what I could do if I put my mind to it! lol
No, I haven't been paid yet. It should be this Friday but who knows. If so it'll be 3 weeks late. In that money is my half-term budget as well as my mortgage so it better be bl**dy paid!! Urgh, can't think about it!
I'm hopefully booking my massage in for Thursday so that should relieve the awful back pain I'm suffering from atm - purely from stress & tension.
On a plus note, I had to go shopping today for a few bits & managed to spend under a tenner again. This is such a big thing for me as I always seem to go over wherever I shop (except Co-op where I always spend about £20, even when only after milk. How does that work!?). I'm now going to update my budget but I'm still under and still haven't put petrol in the car yet - although I am now on nearly empty so will do that when I finally get paid!
Now off to watch some rubbish I've recorded that I can't remember so hope you all have a good evening.
Night! xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832
