Maybe we'd all get bored if life was one long duvet day, without challenges and curved balls ? ....... There was a book out recently called, "The Woman Who Went to Bed For a Year."
Three free things planned is a real result and they will, no doubt, be much more original and entertaining than anything you could have paid for, judging from your Olympic party x."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250
Project Peacock - 2/33 - 1lb/7lb target.
£6.00 a day challenge £118.77/£170
Mtge debt includes car purchase - £46,381/ now £44,336 - Paid 4.4%
Emergency Savings 550.00/£10000 -
Morning
No, not really! We're not seeing any kiddie friends this week as the ones we do all have other plans so it's just us two really. We're going to see a friend of mine I haven't seen in forever today and she lives near the river so we're going to hopefully go for a walk down there. Must remember to pack the wellies! My parents used to live there til littley was about 3 so really intrigued as to whether she'll remember the place.
I have a massage booked this week that was a present and my littley's been treated to a day at an adventure place with climbing walls, tubing etc from her Nanny for being a good little girl. Oh, and she's going over to her's for a sleepover so that's an extra treat. Today however littley is still asleep as she was poorly last night & had nightmares & sleepwalking reared it's ugly head - I'm shattered! lol But, work needs must so I'm up doing some work. Oh hang on, no I'm on here! haha Ok, now I'm off to do some work.
Have a good day everyone! xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Morning all
Ok, so I have another challenge to add to the money saving/debt free challenges and this is thanks to my beautiful daughter.
She got a little upset yesterday and I eventually got it out of her. She was upset I hadn't told her that I was pregnant, didn't I trust her!? GUTTED!!!! I am so not pregnant it's unbelievable. She's now backtracked big time and is claiming it was the angle that she saw me standing but still. She thought I was as far pregnant as a teacher at her school, that teacher is due in May!! I was smaller than that teacher full term so talk about double gutted.
So, I've obviously got to tone up a bit. But I hate exercise as it bores me. I do walk each day for school run and have been going on a walk each day this week but obviously it's not enough. Will have to put my thinking cap on. No idea what I weigh as never weigh myself. If my clothes feel a bit tighter I eat a bit healthier. On a plus note, putting on weight means that I've been budgeting well as I've obviously had enough money to buy rubbish!
So, this is something else for me to work on. Aint I lucky!!
Have a good day everyone xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Oh my days! I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh but... :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:the things that kids say!
I'm sure she didn't mean any harm- remember kids perceptions of things are different to ours! With all the walking you've been doing I'm sure you've been getting a fair bit of exercise so try not to worry too much!
If its any consollation to you, I REALLY need to start exercising/properly eating healthy. I've put a lot of weight on in the last year or two and really need to do something about itIt was part of my new year's resolution to lose weight but I haven't really done anything about it yet.
Hope you have a great day! xx0 -
Lol, it's ok, I did laugh too. I'm a size 11 (why don't they make them!!) so I know I'm not big. I think my tummy had just relaxed a bit!
Exercise is just such a pain in the butt to do but I've found something I think I may like and will start it when littley's back at school. It's prob not a tummy crunching one but it'll get me started and, if it gets me in the mood, I'll continue and move onto more. That's the plan anyway. I started small on money/budget this year and have gone from strength to strength so fingers crossed it works!
On another note, just put another fiver into the Christmas pot so that's good too. xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Thank you hon.
Got back from my massage a few hours ago and it was lovely! Got home and was given a cuppa and a huge hug from littley and now my mum has taken her out for a bit so I can get the last of my work done.
All in all it's been a good day, can't complain xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Morning all, or should I say afternoon!
I got an unexpected payment on Friday that I'd forgotten about (how I don't know!) and so when we went to dinner with parents on Saturday I was really naughty and bought them all drinks & puddings. They do so much for me and littley and had also taken us out for dinner so I thought fudge it, why not! I know I should have put it away but it was lovely to see the surprise & happiness on their faces. Although I also felt a bit ashamed that they looked surprise that I would offer to buy drinks - bad daughter!!
We walked to school today so that's another 45p. For some reason I'd got it into my head that today would be March so the fact there's another week of Feb left is good as I have some more time to save up a bit more.
Oh, I also bought a nest of tables I'd seen at a charity shop. They were being sold for £15 a month ago but that was extremely unrealistic. I went back on Sat and they'd been reduced to £5 but as they were in such bad condition I got them for £4. Not sure if you're supposed to haggle at charity shops but my argument is that they've probably made more than that quid out of the stuff I've given them over the years! I've got sandpaper, leftover paint & some free wallpaper samples from B&Q that I'm going to use to tart them up. I've been looking for a project for a while now so this could be cool!
I've also rung the boiler people today and got hold of an actual manager - who funnily enough wasn't called the name the previous employee told me he was! - and so hopefully something will be sorted. We'll see!
Have a great day everyone! xxCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832
