Aaaah! I get it now. It's not what I know AFD as. In the pub trade if you have to do a open/close shift it was affectionately known as an All F**kin Day shift - hence my confusion!!
I think it's a really good idea. I actually gave up alcohol a few years back and feel better for it. This year we're trying to ditch junk food or at least reduce the amount of it. Today is an anniversary day so we're celebrating by ordering Dominos (50% off of course!) and this is the first junk food we've had in 49 days - an amazing achievement by us. Probably also explains why I had money left over from the budget last month!
You've always got company here. I've put check MSE Diary on my to do list for every day so if I don't do it I'll be annoyed that I haven't ticked it off the list. I'm so bad like that, I like my lists!!

Hey hun
So jealous of your Dominos today! 7 weeks without a takeaway is amazing, well done. You definitely deserve one with all your hard work this far. Enjoy!
The Virgin Lounge sounds great. It's nice to have a treat of a fancy coffee when you're out and about - without the hefty price tag, even better! Sadly I don't think there's any anywhere near me, otherwise I'd be tempted to sign up just for the perk!
You have a good evening too - thanks for keeping me motivated! x0 -
Morning hon
The Dominos was flippin lovely and went down within minutes! Got a really good deal actually bringing the cost in at under what I'd budgeted so that extra money went into the pot.
We walked home from school yesterday so that's another 45p which is just as well as today my daughter's poorly so not at schoolHowever, this also means that I'm going to have a NSD which will be the first this week.
Happy to keep you motivated, one of the main reasons I love these boards as there's so much "in it together" on them.
Have a great dayxx

Hope your little girl feels better soon! I know how she feels - I've been home from work three days now with cold/flu. Urgh
Not good to be off work, but it means I've had three NSDs stuck in the house!
Fab that the Dominos was under budget! They are usually quite good with offers aren't they? Get a lot of 50% off deals and whatnot, which is good because their prices are ridiculous otherwise I think! Not had one for ages - I don't live in a "dominos catchment area" as I put it so they don't deliver to my address.. boo!
Hope you have a good day xx0 -
You're so lucky you don't live in their delivery catchment area! Wish we didn't! We made 47 without junk so we're now aiming for 50.
That's rubbish about having flu, really sucks. I'd love to say I had a NSD but ran out of milk so had to run round to the shop which is not only annoying but also pricey as you can get 2 x 4pt milk from supermarket for a quid or just the one for £1.60Ah well, couldn't leave littley on her own too long.
Fingers crossed back to school tomorrow, although she appears to have sprung back this afternoon thanks to lunch, meds, cuddles & Good Luck flippin Charlie - again! lol
Hope you feel better soon xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Hope DD feels better soon, there is a stinker of a cold that seems to be doing the rounds everywhere.
I am glad you both really enjoyed your Domino's. It is so true that when these treats are budgeted for and a rarity they are really appreciated and savoured (especially as you got a bargain too)."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Evening!
So, daughter is all well again thankfully so back to school tomorrow - yay! Having her home with me today makes me long for next Friday even more when I get her all to myself for a week! Yes, I'm one of the few mums who actually love the school holidays!
Looked out into the back garden today as it's been very windy and found that my fence has now been blown down and is beyond repair - blast! So, this weekend's job is to take the panels down that are hanging, see if I can save the posts and then work out how much mullah it's going to cost to replace the fence. I'm really hoping it rains this weekend so I can't go out there!
Trying to think of a few things to do in the holidays with kiddie, all cheap/free obviously. Got a few things planned but we both so need a rest it's unreal. Roll on the sunny weather!
Have a good evening everyone xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Ah, it's so lovely that you're looking forward to half term to get to spend more time with your daughter. That's what parenting should be like!
Sorry to hear about the fenceit was nasty here yesterday but again I think we've missed the worst of it... so far anyway! Hope you manage to get it sorted without it costing an arm and leg.
What kinds of things do you have planned already for the school holiday? Sounds like you both just need a couple of duvet days with some good films!x

Morning!
Hopefully we're going to go to a kids club at the cinema one day, I say hopefully as they usually show a film that either we've seen or kiddie doesn't like! We're also going to visit my grandma. It's about an hour & half round trip (not including time with her!) so I tend to visit when littley is at school and then take her when it's hols.
We also were lucky enough to get a gift voucher for a pampering session for mother & daughter at a local beauty salon so we're going there too. Ooh, I must book that now actually!
I think one of her friend's is coming over too. Plus of course I still have to work every day so I'll do more in the evenings so tired week coming up! But it's worth it. We're also doing some duvet days, don't worry about that!!
We walked to school today so that's another 45p & I've been asked if we can walk home too so, weather permitting, there's another 45p to be made.
I've still not been paid yet and if I haven't received anything tomorrow I'm going to have to call the mortgage people & tell them it is on it's way. Hate that call but so long as they get the money it's ok, I hope!
Anyway, off to phone the salon then busy busy busy!! Have a good day xCC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832
