Hi Sassychick.
I've had a bit of a lazy day today and read ALL of your diary. I've been having a rough few weeks moneywise and generally sulking but feel re-energised and inspired now. You have made such progress and deserve that holiday you have planned. Have a great time.
Off to look again at how I sort out the finances now.

Hey there Parsnip
OMG! I can't believe you read ALL that!! I dread to think what I've been wittering on about but if it's left you feeling re-energised and inspired then that's fantastic. Do you have a diary on here? If so I'll have to find you too.
It's rubbish having money problems and I take my hat off to everyone who is doing something about it. I wasted far to much of my time ignoring it and definitely feel that if I had stuck at sorting my woes when I first tried several years ago (gave up at the first hurdle, such a wuss!) then I wouldn't be having to do all this now. However, I'm also glad I've done it this way as Littley will be the perfect age for our trip. Old enough to remember it but still young enough to want to spend time with me.
I love your quote in your signature. It completely sums up my dream of my trip. Something I've been trying to do for the last 20 years, but only started saving for in the last 10 years. It's definitely something that has taken time to accomplish.
Good luck with sorting your finances. Hope to see you on here again soon.
Have a great eveningxx

Evening everyone
Just a short one today. Seeing as it's nearly the end of the month I thought I'd take a look at the budget and see how I did.
Yeah, I didn't! ha! I actually went over budget by £134.91 which is a lot. But when you consider I have been on a hen do, gone to a wedding dinner (food, drinks & present), been to the movies & had drinks afterwards and done all the driving I haven't done to bad. I've also had a nephew's birthday and dinner out for that too.
It's funny as I hadn't really been out since Jan or Feb I think, then suddenly had 5 nights out each week for a month (the 4th was end Sept).
I don't think I'll be going out any more for a while so shouldn't happen again so next month I should be able to stay in budget.
Anyways, that's all. Am off to sleep now so speak to you all laterxx

Your month sounds like it has been a lot of fun. Your batteries have been re-charged and you are raring to go in November. All looking good.
Your plan that involves your great grandchildren has to be the longest running one that I have ever heard of, it made me giggle.Training Loan - £1300.00/£1,500 (13%), Halifax CC 300.00/£925.00 (31%), OS Weight loss 7.0lb/24lb (29%), Extra inc Nov £220, Dec £532.00, Jan Ex Inc target £200.00. Training hours 10/100 10%

Hi Whitefeather
I realised I also had an unexpected clothes outlay in October too: boots, school jumpers & a coat. All for Littley, she doesn't grow often but when she does it's quite sudden!
Yes, the plan does sound a bit bonkers doesn't it but it's actually a really realistic one. Basically I want to be able to leave my home to Littley debt free. So that means making sure the mortgage is cleared. At some point my bro & I will inherit my parents (not for many many years of course) and so I need to be in a financial position that will enable me to buy him out of his share. This is important because my parents house is the other half of my semi-detached. Therefore at some point Littley's kids or grandkids will have a lovely huge plot of debt free land. Makes sense when you think about it. I know it's a long way off but it's just taken me nearly 10 years to save to go to Oz so I need to work this out. I've got all the little steps sorted in my head and when we get home next year I can start to put everything into action - slowly but surely.
Have a great dayxx

Sounds like a great plan Sassychick. I think the way things are I will feel happier if I can get my mortgage paid off asap then have something to leave to my little one.
Lets hope all the plans come together.

Hey hon
That's the plan. Although atm I just want to have a break from working!
I usually work silly hours before school holidays so I can then do an hour in the morning and have the rest of the day free. However I took on a few extra contracts beginning of October that I misjudged how long they would take. I've worked near enough all day every day and a few hours in the evenings too. I'll be finished around 2pm tomorrow but am taking my mum to see her mum then. Weekend we have family staying which will be really lovely but I'm thinking I'm going to have a few hours on Sunday evening and that's the half term done.Still, I keep reminding myself that the extra work is money in the pot and I'll be able to enjoy it even more.
Only other thing of note today is that I've got another mystery shopping gig with this new company on Monday so that's another few dollars into the pot - yay!
Have a great evening everyonexx

Hey hun
Just checking in on ya!
Glad to see things are going well - SO exciting to see the holiday totally PAID in your signature! :j
Also great news to hear you've had a few extra contracts, and some more mystery shopping gigs. Excellent stuff! Out of interest, who do you do your mystery shopping with?
Hope littley has had a nice half term- though sorry to hear you've had to work more of it than you'd like! At least it'll be worth it when the pay comes through
Hope you have a lovely weekend xx0 -
Hey hon
It's great to see isn't it! I'm now only a few quid short of the potential school fine too so that's another one to cross of the list soon.
I do MS through ESA and have just signed up to Retail Maxim. I am signed up with Grass Roots & Helion too but don't get much from them. Think I've had one from each in the whole time.
Ooh, it's 10am so off to do hopefully the last stint of the cr*ppy job, then I've got the driving gig, then visiting grandmother then, and maybe then, I'll get to spend some time with Littley who's currently in bed watching a dvd as she doesn't feel well
Ah well, I'm taking her to the cinema after school on Wed (2-4-1) as a treat for being so good this week. Gotta love that kid.
Have a great day!xx

Afternoon all
So, today I have FINALLY finished the dull-as-dishwater contract and, fingers crossed, will get it paid today. If I get paid today I'll get about £25 more than if I get paid Monday due to the % the company takes.
So excited that I'm all done though - it seemed to go on forever.
Oh, and just got back from the driving job so that's more money for the pot.
Have a fab weekend everyonexx
