  • What lovely comments from DD's teacher. They don't get any better than that!

You did get a lot for your £30.00 and wonderful memories x.

  • Thanks hon, I forgot to mention that Littley's only just started year 5 so being above the average year 7 student already was an amazing piece of information. But we all knew she's a clever bunny didn't we!

Have a great day :) xx

  • We certainly did. Is she still running her extra support classes, for kids that are struggling? I thought that was such a lovely idea. Does she have a dream job that she aspires too? You have a true treasure there.

  • Aw thanks hon. No, the extra support classes stopped for the summer holidays and when she put out the feelers for this year there wasn't as much interest. It's a shame but I'm sure she'll find another use for her ideas. She did a business activity last term which she thoroughly enjoyed and does after school clubs so she's quite busy atm.

I've just asked her what she wants to do when she leaves school and she said she wants to go to college and uni, then she would like to own a cafe by the sea whilst writing her own books and being a gymnast! At one point she wanted to be a teacher and another she wanted to be a paramedic but the cafe thing has stuck there for a while now. I'm sure whatever she does she'll be amazing at it.

Thanks for the compliments, have a great weekend :) xx

  • Love the idea of her running a cafe by the sea while she writes her own books ...

Another J K Rowling, but with the forethought to buy the cafe first that she writes her books in:beer:

  • I'd love her to do it so I can sit there and read my paper and watch the world go by. I've a feeling I'll be baking cakes or cooking or something instead though! :) xx

  • Morning all

Quick update as so busy today. I've just been on a 4 mile walk with my mate and continued with my 30 day squat challenge and the 30 abs challenge. Don't know if it's doing any good but am so shattered hopefully I'll sleep tonight as apposed to lying awake like I did last night - soooo tired!!

Have transferred another chunk of the dull-as-dishwater job across. I really want to shorten it but calling it the DAD job sounds awful!! Anyway, this has seen my £9 a day challenge leap a huge amount and whilst I could now sit on my laurels for a bit as I'm now a month ahead on savings, I won't be. I really want to have enough money saved early enough on so I don't have to worry. I'd also like a little extra left here in case of emergencies. Not sure what emergencies but better safe than sorry.

Right, I'm off now to do the 2nd of my 3 jobs for today, then the 3rd, then pick up Littley, then gymnastics and apparently some tea to cook in there somewhere!

Have a great day everyone :) xx

  • When did you start your 30 days Sassy? You could get DD to take some photographs of you - every 10 days, then you would be able to see your progress more clearly.

  • Ooh that's a thought. Although she lets people like my Dad and my Grandma see photos on my phone so I will have to remember to upload them onto my lappy so I don't scare them, don't want Grandma having a relapse! haha

I've done 10 days of squats (today is a rest day thankfully!) and 9 on the abs. I do feel a bit healthier already so hopefully I'll make it to the end of the 30 days and then continue to do them each day in 30 day cycles. That's the plan anyway. You can tell it's working mentally though as I have a full day in the city today and instead of paying a fortune for parking I'm seriously considering walking in - it's about 3 miles away.

Today I'm mystery shopping all day! I somehow have arranged to do 7 mystery shops in the city which includes some purchases. I get to keep them & get reimbursed and they're from shops I'd look at for Christmas pressies so double bonus! I've got to be back by 3 to pick Littley up which is another reason I'm a bit hesitant to walk because if I walk there I've got to walk back!!

Have a great day everyone :) xx

  • Seven mystery shops is more than I have ever managed in a day Sassy, but when you can get days like that it makes the business very lucrative. Well done!! Saving on the parking would be a huge bonus too!!

You sound extremely organised and efficient x.
