That must be such a lovely feeling to be organised for Xmas already and to know that you have not spent endless amounts on TAT.
I love your recycled cards too, and the way you have refused to be sucked into doing anything that doesn't feel right xTraining Loan - £1300.00/£1,500 (13%), Halifax CC 300.00/£925.00 (31%), OS Weight loss 7.0lb/24lb (29%), Extra inc Nov £220, Dec £532.00, Jan Ex Inc target £200.00. Morning all
Already wrote this then lost it, damn!
Today I have done some extra work for my full time "boss" and so that's a few extra quid for the pot. I've also done a mystery shop and am about to go collect my lady and take her to work.
I'm supposed to be finishing my main work when I get back but Bestie has thrown an invite for a cuppa in to the equation. However, Littley has afterschool club and is being brought home today by the parent of the child I usually pick up so I've an extra hour and a bit today. This obviously is being wisely spent on having that cuppa!
I've another mystery shop tomorrow as well as an hour training to give on Wednesday so the pennies are slowly adding up and starting to become pounds. This is fab as I'm way off this month already. I'd just like to have one month where I get to the 1st, look down the spreadsheet and see I already have black figures at the end. Usually it's in the red and I have to work all month to get it up.
I've also been in talks with a company about doing about a few hours a week for them doing my normal work. If that comes off I'll be extremely happy as that will be quite a sum by the end of the month.
Right, best get off. Have a good day day everyonexx

I have just read your story from beginning up to date. You should be very proud of your self, not only are you supporting yourself and your daughter but have saved for, and paid for a fantastic holiday and cleared debts at the same time.
Give yourself a big pat on the back.
Your daughter will, in the process, have learnt the value of money and that if you want things you have to work for them. Something I wish my grand daughter had learnt.0 -
Morning Deleted_User
Thank you for your kind words. I've not cleared my debts yet but they're way healthier than they were this time last year. I have, however learnt a great deal over this year and thankfully Littley has too.
I can't believe you read my story from start to finish though! Has your tv broken or something? lol As you now know I have a tendency to ramble so I am in awe at your level of commitment!
As my shoulder is now better I will indeed give myself a big pat on the back, it's the first time this year I've been able to reach it
Hope to have you along for the ride and thanks again for stopping by.
Have a great dayxx

I echo csarina's lovely comments, you have achieved a phenomenal amount this year, and your little one is truly blessed.
You are very consistent with your posting too, which must help to keep you focused x.Training Loan - £1300.00/£1,500 (13%), Halifax CC 300.00/£925.00 (31%), OS Weight loss 7.0lb/24lb (29%), Extra inc Nov £220, Dec £532.00, Jan Ex Inc target £200.00. Training hours 10/100 10%

Thanks hon, I'm taking both your compliments on board and savouring them!
I have a to do list that I open online everyday to ensure I do everything and one of the items is to post on here. If I didn't I would forget one day and then forget.
I've now put all my Christmas stuff to do on there too and am quite happy with the items being ticked off. There's nothing as satisfying than seeing the big tick at the end of a day!
Today I did a mystery shop which for £18 which took a grand total of 8 minutes to complete. Wish I had more of those every day!
Then went to the card shop to get cards for the rellies that we don't see at Christmas and bought those. I usually get one for my brother & his fiancee, my niece, my nephews, Littley's Aunt & Uncle and Littley's cousins. But in true money saving spirit I've got one card that says from both of us to all of you - and they can share it! haha I also bought all my birthday cards for December (would people stop getting pregnant in March please, it's too expensive!) and got a set of cute ribbons in Littley's favourite colour to wrap her pressies with. Her's area always in one paper and everyone else gets the left overs of whatevers left from previous years! This is a tradition that started when she couldn't yet read and I wanted her to know which were her pressies. Don't you love Christmas traditions?
Anyway, also got her a dressing gown that she wanted and some new tights. For the cards (13), a roll of wrapping paper, ribbons, dressing gown & tights (3 pairs) I spent a grand total of £24 which I'm very happy with.
I'm now off to do some work whilst listening to Littley and her friend write their screenplay. Kids hey?!
Have a nice eveningxx

No my TV has not broken, I have just had a cataract operation and cannot do any sewing for another couple of weeks, so I was looking for something to read, and your thread's title hit the spot.
Keep up your efforts, and you will soon be debt free and have had a great holiday into the bargain.0 -
Do you use an online App for your lists Sassy? xTraining Loan - £1300.00/£1,500 (13%), Halifax CC 300.00/£925.00 (31%), OS Weight loss 7.0lb/24lb (29%), Extra inc Nov £220, Dec £532.00, Jan Ex Inc target £200.00. Training hours 10/100 10%

Morning everyone
csarina - thanks again for the encouragement. I've recently met another mother at the school who actually lived where I'm going for 12 years and has just moved back here so we've been having chats about the place which is great for me as it's nice to hear what's changed (everything) and anything new I should go. It's also nice for her as she's a bit homesick so by talking about the place to someone outside of her family who actually knows the place is quite therapeutic for her.
Whitefeather - I use en.todoist.com online but they have an app called todoist. It's a red TD for the logo. I find it really helpful as you can put dates in as "Mondays" or "daily" or whatever. You can also look at it as today or next 7 days. However the best bit for me is that you can have folders of lists and that really helps.
Today I am providing training over Skype for an hour on a subject that's changed a little bit since I last did it so I've got to do a bit of prep beforehand, which is annoying as it's only for a tenner but hey ho, a tenner's a tenner!
I've also been to a course this morning, have work to do, am looking after a friends kids after school and have to clean the place and go buy dinner too. Oh, and pay savings jar money into the bank as I've dipped into it a bit this last week. I've put it all back but I don't like the temptation. I really shouldn't be taking a couple of quid out so Littley can have a hot dinner just because I cba to make her pack up, no matter what excuses I use lol
I've also not been walking to school this last 2 weeks which is really naughty but understandable with this flippin' rain. Nor have I done any exercises whatsoever and boy can I feel it. However, after reading another thread on here (thanks Whitefeather!) I've decided to get Operation Wetsuit back on track so will be getting my backside in gear. I think I may add a line to my signature similar to the NSD theory.
Best I get on and do some prep! Have a great day everyonexx

I will take a look at that site thanks Sassy. I am loving my dodo pad. Do you use your family diary and the online site? How does that work? I still haven't got my organisational skills finely honed, but they are improving so I would love some more inspiration here!
As for Operation Wetsuit, I love that idea! We could go for a joint challenge and anyone else who wanted to could join in too. What do you think it should look like.
