Me too. Couldn't imagine it any other way. I also lived abroad for a few years. Went to college and spend most of the time in the pub and not much studying. Got married and divorced, too.
However, I'm not recommending my life as an example to follow if you want a career, a good income, a life partner and a good future. Partying's good fun but don't go overboard. You pay for it when you're older.:o
  • I actually did things the wrong way round in my 20's! I started my 20s in a bad way, I had dropped out of uni, was in a relationship I wasn't happy in, had a job I didn't like and was on antidepressants but I got rid of the pills, the boyfriend and by 21 I was dating a man who I got engaged to 2 weeks after my 21st birthday. We got married and had 2 daughters and I went back to uni at 28.

I remember the week I turned 20 and I was awful, I hated hitting that milestone and fully expected turning 30 to be similar. Actually I loved turning 30, I was in a happy relationship, had my girls and was studying for a job I loved. 5 years on I'm qualified and still love my job, I had a little boy last summer and I've never been happier.

So yes, I did marriage and kids early and uni late but its worked for me!

  • Bloody good fun, and carefree, comparatively, to life beyond my 20's!

Very busy decade for me personally. Started my 20's at uni, then worked hard, played hard (lots of travel and holidays), saved, bought & sold a flat, house and then another house, got married and had two children by the time I was 30.

Advice? Decide what you what to do and do it. Challenge everything. Live your own dream. Don't have regrets. Only follow the crowd if you truly want to. Enjoy every moment of every day. Know that stuff does not make you happy. Follow your passion. Be bold, never scared. Take risks! Offer your heart to someone and repeat as necessary. Believe in fairy tales and happy endings! Smile. All the time.
