EBAY - debt collectors letter - I won't pay!!

I understand your position, and how annoyed you must be.
However, unless you are willing to pursue to buyer then you will be the one who comes off worse, financially, for the sake of £60.
Selling on eBay is a risk and you simply cannot just say 'eBay need to deal with it' as they have, already, and so far have ruled against you. Unless you challenge the buyer then you will be the one who loses, for £60. Principles aside, that's silly.
Harassing her on Facebook won't help your chances in court or with ebay. Despite principles is just cough up and move on. My time and peace is worth more that £60.
I also doubt the CEO of eBay is looking into it... These things will happen everyday. I guarantee that.0 -
True - although I managed to track her down on FB and have told her whats been happening but not the latest news. I've also been in contact with the CEO of Ebay who are also looking in to the whole matter - when I tell them of the latest news they will have to deal with her then
No, ebay don't have to deal with anything. the two parties to the deal are you and your buyer.
Ebay think you own them money, and they are chasing you for that money.
You need to proactively chase the buyer for the money or coat they owe you.0 -
absolutely NO WAY will I pay out to a thief and con artist!! It's letting people get away with things that make them do it again and again. I will win this - watch this space and btw I have harrassed noone - she thinks it's all done and dusted and she's gotten away with it - i wanted to let her know that it is not over and that i have been harrassed by debt collectors because of her - if she had an ounce of decency she would own up to what she has done and pay up. She needs to know that I wont give in - would you give in to a bully???0

Believe me I have but to no avail - at least now I have proof of her unlawful act0 -

You have no 'proof'
A heavier package could simply mean heavier packaging (I know you say it's the same, but it's still your word against hers). It does not prove anything. I also doubt the post office will give you info of someone else's transaction...0 -

Rubbish! I do have proof, the packaging was the same I sent to her, it even has my labels still on0 -
I hate being conned too but I don't think you can win here. If eBay close your account you won't be able to open another one.0

So to save you going off track.
If you were the CEO of eBay(who isnt doing anything)
How would you decide who is telling the truth?0 -
Tell us about the initial issue. You say she moaned, but what exactly happened. I'd like to hear both sides.0

I edited to clarify a bit, but you have ZERO proof. The post office won't give you any info on the weight of her parcel.
You are fighting a losing battle the way you are choosing to fight.
Just saying 'I'm not paying, your problem, deal with it' will get you nowhere. Either take the good advice given earlier, or pay up.0
