At the front of every queue is a Micra, that accolade used be filled Maestros and Metros back in the day.

And before that, it was the old Moggie Minor.

I wonder which car will be next to take over the mantle? The Nissan Leaf or any other electric heap when the battery runs low?

I'm in my 20s and drive a Micra and I can assure you I drive at the limit, I frequently have to overtake Mercedes on my way home from work!!!

Round my way it's always a Toyota Yaris at the front of a slow queue!

We have been flooded with a blight of Nissan Piccolo's in this area.
Never heard of that... Did you mean the Nissan Pao or the Figaro (which was automatic only and usually green)? If the latter - you may have an invasion of hipsters...
I need to think of something new here...

Funny after reading this thread, but I got stuck behind three different Micras driving home yesterday afternoon; first a mint green coloured one (35 in a 50), then a silver one (just a bit slow on the getaway mainly, so not bad really), and finally to make up the set a red one! (27 in a 30 - the law says "up to" 30).

Just as likely in a ICE car when running low on fuel and trying to be economical to make it to the next fuel station.

I quite happily kept ahead of a old Fiesta RS turbo in my leaf at the lights earlier in the week and really enjoyed accelerating in silence and listening to the racquet coming from his dump valve as he tried as hard as he could.

There's an area near me where this spells immigrant, can't drive, straddles lanes, and does about 2mph no matter what the limit. Can't navigate roundabouts and don't indicate either. And yes it's always an older micra, usually red. It's a conspiracy!

A friend of mine passed his test and bought a red K11 Micra, I had not yet passed my test so he's giving me a lift and while stopped at a set of lights he's trying to explain blind spots to me, and how, for example, he can't see the cyclist to our left in his left hand wing mirror.

I look at the mirror and tell him "I can see the cyclist perfectly in it", then lean forward to put my head inline between his and the mirror and adjust it for him as the only thing you could see in it from his position was the bloody bus stop!

This is the same person&car combination who reported an indicated speed of 33mph while my Escort was reading 28 and a friend's Nova was reading 30, which probably also explains a lot!
