This can be a bit of the tricky situation. He may not have told you about the expense because he was worried about how you would react with your financial situation the way it is. He may also be concerned with it turning into a fight and figured it would just be easier not to say anything about it. I would personally be concerned that he has reason to feel as though he has to hide things. I would recommend talking to him about all of this calm and collected. Let him know that you have concerns, but don't approach things in a manner that will make him defensive.

So? Should people not cook if they've been to work?

Not if the other partner has been at home all day. (Which I am, I'm a SAHM. The house and cooking is my part of the partnership.)

    Lol, ok. Too short.
  • One really obvious question - why were you reading your husband's email anyway just because you son was 'trying to find a lost email'? Do you share passwords? I'd be a bit miffed if someone read my email, partner or not.

My rule is: the first one home makes the tea. So, funnily enough, on the nights when my partner gets done early she suddenly decides that she needs to go visiting. Drives me nuts! :rotfl:

I think MSE needs a "false smile-gritted teeth" smiley especially for OP in place of this one :D or this one :rotfl:.

Despite using them so much, I'm thinking neither are quite what she's looking for.
