I've never managed to plough through a whole book of hers yetedinburgher wrote: »An arb? Coral tend to do one each weekend on Saturday morning during the horse racing season (for example, guaranteed odds of 4.0 on one today that I was able to lay at 2.xx last night for a guaranteed £3.50). Not a whole lot of money, but guaranteed if you're an earlier riser, although technically speaking a little naughty as you're laying first, which you should normally avoid like the plague. It only works when a bookie is offering a set, specific price for a fixed period.
 I'm prepared to get into that eventually <faints> but not right now. The set of bets today worked! Money is sitting in the exchangeso I've just done a 2nd one, and actually, the 3rd one has disappeared, maybe it was a ghost or something. Still a free £10 from smarkets, and I've no idea how to use that ... will investigate.
I was at Egyptology today - hedgehog boats! And a Christmas Fairlots of jigsaw puzzles, Goldie, I thought of you
and if you want to go "awww", go to youtube and search for ragweed the hedgehog
he's a bit scared, but he has a lot less fleas. The Egyptians put hedgehog carvings on the prows of their boats at one stage. Who knew :rotfl:

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Ed, thats a relief, I'll have a looksee there
RT - thanks! Thats the one that has a film, yes?
GG - when I first heard about the mummified cats, I thought, aww, they love them so much they want them mummified ... then I found out that 99.99% of them were bred specially, and were killed at about 8 weeks of age _pale_ but there are a very few wall pictures in tombs of pets, and there are statuettes of mother cats with kittens, they were a fertility symbolwhich is better :j
Lazy day here, tho I'll go for a walk later - *such* a good sleep, it was wonderful - need some exercise too2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
My 2nd free bet has settled well :j
So of the free £40, I've ended up taking home £38.77, which means each bet cost me a whole 61.5p each, very happy with that :j
So now I just need to figure out how to use the £10 at the new exchange - I don't want to do any more than that while I'm still using my personal bank account, I *know* how many transactions you need to make doing this, and I'm not cluttering up my bank account with that :rotfl: Maybe I'll do some research about it all2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Also remember that there will be restrictions on how much money you can withdraw to each bank account. If you're moving over to a dedicated account, best get it done a.s.a.p.
What was the nature of your free £10 from the exchange?0 -

"Your bonus will be credited automatically and will refund any losing bets." I think its a "refund if lose"...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Maybe I'm thinking about this too much, but isn't there a subtle semantic difference between refund if lose and this, which is more like refund on lose? If you don't lose, the bonus isn't going anywhere, it will sit on the account until you do. Probably the easiest way to bust the money out of the second exchange would be to treat it like a qualifying bet, place a high/close odds back bet at the second exchange and lay it at BF? That way all you lose is the small 'charge' for the bet and end up with the cash in BF?0

I had to sit and think about that.... I think you're right, because "if" lose is used when there's only one bet thats offered. This, as you say, it sits on the account going nowhere, unless I lose., and I can use it on any bet I want. So the action necessary to try to liberate the money for *me* is as you say: high odds (therefore unlikely to happen!) which I expect to lose, and since I've laid it off at the other exchange, I'd pocket that difference.
They say: "Once the rebate is credited to your account, losses will be refunded up to the bonus amount". If my betting this weekend had lost at this exchange, rather than won, it would have been swallowed up in that. Thats something to remember - I wouldn't have had to do another bet. So interesting!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
