Blue skies here in sunny Yorkshire! Sounds like a productive day yesterday - well done on the writing! And good luck today. Are you publishing for kindle via Amazon? Try this link for uploading https://kdp.amazon.com/help?topicId=A37Z49E2DDQPP3&ref_=gs or this one if you need more detailed help on getting the book ready: https://kdp.amazon.com/help?topicId=A17W8UM0MMSQX6

    Good luck!

Take a look at this as well.

Thank you all! :j I'm getting very excited :)

Goldie and CBC - yes, I read instruction manuals too, especially for electronics, I'm not at all intuitive. Right now, I have lots of dried out, smashed up eggshells waiting to have 20 minutes in the halogen oven (so they can go on the garden!) but I haven't read the instructions yet and I'm scared to turn it on without that!

miz and Z - thanks for the links, yes, I've always imagined myself publishing it on amazon. I'm finding out that there's a bit more to it than that :o but we'll see. I'll have a look at those links as soon as I've loaded up with carbs :D I find they're essential for this sort of thing :D

    Getting a bit real now!

There are so many options Karma. Do you want it to be available as a "real" book as well as an ebook? (check out creativespace) Do you want the circulation of amazon or are you really looking for somewhere to create a book to publicise elsewhere? Are you wanting to make any money out of it or do you want to make it available free? Amazon undoubtedly has the biggest distribution but it also has the most noise.

Getting an ebook out is on my list of things to do for the business but I can't quite decide how to proceed either so will be watching your experience with interest!

Phew, still not dealt with the eggshells or decided a way forward for the book. But I *have*:
    - got extra phone work today, thats good.
    - uninstalled and re-installed open source photo editing programme, I'd mucked up the panels a bit, re-install makes it easier to use again (gimp! terrible name, wonderful software).
    - "downgraded" my membership of topcashback to classic or whatever they call it - the sort where you don't pay the £5. I only expect to be using it for matched betting, maybe insurances, I buy very little :D
    - found another M&S item that can go to Oxfam, I'll send stuff in two separate batches and get two £5s ... with Xmas presents from me, Xmas presents (from my mum) for me, that'll be fine.
    - 3rd Amazon gift card has arrived from swaggie. Thats now £16 in the jar - I'm more than halfway to the final one, a little £3 one, and then thats it, finito.
    - researching garlic planting. Hoping I can actually do it, but not holding out too much hope, there's a few fireworks in the offing from a distant family member ... I'd like the world to stop while I catch up with my pension, please :D

Fireworks averted! No lawyers, hurray! Such a relief, but exhausting, especially on 4 hours sleep. Done a bit of scanning for the cat website, but I fear the most I'm going to do today is get the rubbish collected for the binmen tomorrow ...

Miz, I didn't see your post on ebooks until just now! I did some research on it yesterday evening, I need to put that into bullet points to help me decide, otherwise its just sloshing around my head with everything else :p I do have the title for my associated blog, so thats good.

    Today:
    - couple of hours paid work.
    - *another* phone conversation on the family emergency :(
    - some ebay listing, I think - about 3 times a week now, as I walk past my big bookcase, I hike something out and "reserve" it for ebay.
    - bulletpoints for the ebooks sales.
    - clearing the creative space downstairs **again** :p
    - Cheery's return reminded me - haven't done a post a la "blogging once a week" - have done an outline tho, can finish that.
    - open the post. Cos of Getting Things Done, the book, I tend to leave that a few days now :)
    - get my new phones up and working, the old one is a shambles.

The handsets are charging! Its only taken me 10 months :o when I say I've been lurgified and I'm catching up, this is the sort of thing I'm catching up with. The new handsets look very pretty :)

I've also mucked around with swaggie, of course. It feels later than 11am :D... never mind, client leaves at around 2.30, I've got time to be out in the garden then and still get a shower before evening :D

And I'm having a cuppa right now :j

I just managed to prune one half of the lower levels of a shrub, before night fell :o then practically ran into the bathroom to wash my hair though with all this rain, there's no dust flying about the garden, at least. Chopped my hair, too - I cut the back myself now, as well as my fringe :D if its good enough for Helen Mirren's image, its good enough for mine :D

I accidentally signed up to the £5 fee version of TCB - not sure how, as I am usually very careful about this sort of thing. Were you able to downgrade half way though a year, or was it your renewal date? If possible I want to downgrade, so I can get my hands on the pennies I've earned.

Our new handsets are also charging, as I write this. They've got some great ring tones, can't wait to use them:T
