I like the multi coloured lists:)

Our new phones are now fully functional, but I'm a bit worried that, when it rings, I'm going to forget how to accept or reject a call !

    Have a good day

Yes, I'm worried about that! Its just the green to go, red to stop, tho - it'll be fine, honestly :) phones are working, I've just got to get the answerphone set up now :j

Thanks Cheery :A Its especially lovely to get the phones sorted for some reason, it feels like I'm re-joining the 21st century - I did get here once before, but not replacing a dud phone set me back a bit :o:rotfl:

Bright shiny days for all, please :)

I've done the two fiddly little things on my weekly list :) this myWaitrose card is interesting - my temporary one gives me 10% off all products till 9th November, the permanent one gives 10% off selected products, but also the free tea/coffee thing :) plus whenever you buy anything, you're put into a £5k monthly draw, not bad :D

Plus I used the temp card last Saturday, and declare savings of 44p :p

Phew ... okay, lots of fiddly stuff, then even more: the "deal with existing post" bit - paid Visa, checked they'd cancelled out the whole £1.03 of interest (they hadn't! They say they have now), activated new current account card - Goldie, I can re-start matched betting!!! :) - though I'll have to go into Santander to change the pin to something I can remember. I also found a way to winge at Orange for my mobile contract, which isn't *quite* what its supposed to be, but that was already sitting in my in-tray :D and therefore doesn't count as existing post :rotfl:

Tipping down all day, only just stopped in the last half hour, but town will now be full of 14 year olds looking in shop windows ... no way for me! Can't do any gardening either, if I step on that ground I'll sink, its that boggy :p might work on the edges of the patio for 20 mins, actually ...

    Hope everyone's had a good day :)

Wow, lots of life admin done - it's great to get fiddly things out of the way

We haven't got a Waitrose immediately near us, but I've just looked where the nearest is. It's in Maidstone - but it's the bit of Maidstone nearest us.

A MyWaitrose card could actually work nicely for us - a free coffee and a walk along a nice bit of the river Medway

Will file this away in my brain for future pondering

    Thanks for the idea:)

I think one of my new current accounts will eventually be used for a MB account. Good luck with your MB restart

PS, vile day here as well, although a bit better now - the sky was pleasantly pink about 15 minutes ago

Goldie, that would definitely work for you, wouldn't it. Nice one :) I'm sure Waitrose sell very little coffee, but the other stuff they sell more than makes up for it!

I'm going to hang fire a little bit on the m.b. I have my normal schedule over the next few days - today was a bit empty! - so any spare time I have needs to go to the list - the writing blog, the edit on the book, the cat designs, and the accounts.

Just put my tea on - I have a phone call I need to make at 6pm, and I don't want to start tea around then, either before or after. It'll feel like a real treat to finish the phone call and just sit down and eat. I'm easily pleased, aren't I :rotfl:

Our little village has a Wa!tr0se & used to have the coffee in the cafe - they sold a lot of pastries - I've spoken to the bakery staff now that the coffee has moved to the front of the shop & they have confirmed that more pastries get red stickered now as the turnover has slowed! Good for us bargain shoppers, but not well thought out by the store refit organizers!:D
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)

New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!

Ouch  I wonder if they were trying to get the people who don't buy anything else to just drink it on the hoof, so to speak? Bad, bad, bad design flaw :rotfl: I suppose I was originally thinking of people buying stuff in the shop, even their "pop in" stuff, rather than going somewhere else ... all the pensioners where my mum lives do that all the time :D.

    Yay :j

Pretty tired after all that lot - I wish I'd been able to get out into the garden, the time was available, but once it gets dark so early, I'm not very good at scheduling - must think about it earlier than 4pm, that really doesn't work :rotfl:

    Hope everyone's had a good evening :)
