What a morning already
I was up pretty early, so I started on the ebay listing. And oh boy, when its a type of stuff you haven't sold before - its tough! I'm selling cushion covers that my sister bought in Morocco nearly 20 years ago, and has never used, and thats *way* beyond my usual books and CDs :rotfl:One more set to go, then finish getting ready for clients. After that, its on to the ski equipment _pale_
Of course, one reason its a bit tricky is that all my storage *everywhere* is at maximum capacity. So they're stored in the counselling room, and I shift them out of there every day I work. And putting them online now, computer's in one room, cushion covers are in another, the scales (and yes, ebay ask you to weigh your stuff!) are in another.
**picture of KC dashing about** luckily all the rooms are next to one another :rotfl:
I also nabbed the amazon gift certs and applied them - they're mine now, I tell you, all mine :rotfl: even if Their Swagginess goes bust, they're still mine :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm always SO impressed at anyone selling anything on Ebay - I don't have a good record!
Sold one CD for 99p years ago, then 'officially' sold my van (to someone who never paid or came to collect it), and since then I've been TRYING to make myself put on a cover for a folding bike, but I can't find a picture of it on the internet, I can't figure out how to take a picture of it that accurately describes what it is, and I don't know what model of bike it's for!
:rotfl:
Still, encouraged by your efforts I might have one last try to force myself this weekend0 -
Cheery, believe me, I understand *exactly* where you're coming from! I've got all sorts of bits and bobs that *could* go up there, including an ipod shuffle I got free from qype for posting a gazillion reviews (actually, that might really be worth selling!). I'm way outside my comfort zone on this, but its right for both of us, so off I go
**zoom** still haven't done that 3rd one, but its nearly all in place.
I can't stop eating at the moment:bdaycake: though its a lot more savoury than this
Oh, Cheery - if it helps, they let you put up a lot more pictures now, free of charge - up to 12! Good luck with it2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ta-da! I've just picked up enough swaggie points for one last Amazon voucher, a £3 one - that makes £19 in total :j which is great, but I'm stopping - if I'd invested the same amount of time in matched betting, it would have been ten or twenty times as much money. Plus swa gbucks feeds my addiction to computer games, which is sadly *really* bad for my arthritis
So, much as I love working hard (and I do!) I'm going to work hard and *smart*. Bye bye swagness2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sounds like a sensible decision there KC!0

I know exactly what you mean about selling anything a little bit non standard on eBay, especially if it's a larger than average item.
It takes ages to photograph, to research how much other people are selling for, to think up a good description, work out what category to put it in, get it measured up and weighed, work out the best postal/courier service to use, and then to list it. Then eBay and Paypal take a big slice of the profits, and you are left with a few quid!
I've sold three iPods on behalf of my friend, for between £20 - £40. I was quite hesitant about doing it, but all the sales went fine, and made a nice amount of money.
In a weird way I still enjoy eBaying - I think it's the sense of satisfaction when something leaves the house in a neat parcel (I'm slightly OCD about neat parcels!:rotfl:)Early retired - 18th December 2014

Tell me which appeals, and I'll pm you. None of them are monetised yet (ignore the Amazon link on the cat website!) so its within the rules, I'm sure.

And its very individual, putting it all to a charity shop just isn't the same.
Ooh ... the sky above me is a pale orange ... who knew orange could look so threatening! There's a lot more rain to come, I think ... tho the forecast says it'll be stopping soon.
I'll stop waffling, shall II'm only going on because I've got a client arriving in about 5 mins, can't do anything terribly useful in that time.
Have a good rest of the day folks :beer:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

You should have had a pm by now, JimLad
What are you interested in writing about?
I'm starting *really* slowly today - I have what counts as a full day working for me, so I'm going to make sure I get out for a bit of a walk. I've managed to check the views on ebay tho, and I've had 6 per set of cushions :rotfl: tho one of those is probably my sister
And I did just set up the new blog, since I had to find the linkies for JimLad anyway  though there's absolutely nothing on there yet, I've just got the title :j
I think I might have a cuppa :coffee: first.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
