Congratulations on the MB results, you've done fantastically well:)

I like to do a couple of Christmas jigsaws in the run up to Christmas, it gets me in the festive mood.

I'll look at Ragweed tomorrow when I'm on the laptop. I rather like hedgehogs, as that are cute in a prickly way :rotfl:

I don't know why I've never mentioned it before, but I'm a cat person.

As I've been doing more walking recently, I'm getting to know all the neighbourhood cats - it's always very gratifying when a cat is pleased to see you!

Great to see you getting into the matched betting - but scary how little I remember now! Made over £1K doing it back in the day. Now I have new bank, new address etc I could start over as a newbie... sounds like it is still profitable! Good luck with your next batch! You are getting a good return.

Thank you! It was great to find close matches so quickly too :)

Oh definitely - about 10 years ago, I was having a box of organic veg delivered each week, and it was left outside my front door in the evening, as I was working in London till late. One evening, it started rustling as I brought it in :eek::eek: turned out a hedgehog was climbing all over my organic tomatoes, leaving little paw prints everywhere :rotfl::rotfl: the cats were fascinated! I took the box outside so it could climb out, and by then its little friend was right outside the front door, looking for its chum. Brilliant :)

How could you not have mentioned that to me :rotfl:I just love it when a cat runs towards me, mind you my vet called my first little cat, the grey one, a tart - she loved everyone :D

Thanks miz! And we'd like some dog stories too, by the way :) Yep, I made about a grand doing it that time. And I'm in the same boat as you - new bank, new address, new email address. But my name and dob are the same - for betfair, I just got my old account going again, and they still gave me those 2 free bets. I think the faff of learning to use the fancy pants reload offers is worth the hassle - it has to be done anyway, and if they find you in the system twice over, they'll shut you down :(

But it runs rings around anything except overtime - and you and I are self employed, Goldie's about to retire, and I'm sure edinburgher doesn't get overtime at his level of responsibility ...

    Go for it :):):)

I remember Ed saying he's made more money this year doing the MB, than in the last several years doing cash backs and surveys.

For things like eBay and surveys a lot of effort is needed, for comparatively little reward. MB clearly needs thought and research, but the rewards seem to be very worth while if you look on it as on hourly rate paid for effort.

    Have a good Monday:)

Exactly! So little time input for so much reward :) when I think how hard I've worked for that £16 in amazon vouchers from swa gbux _pale_ I'll finish the one I'm on, and thats it.
    Have a good Monday:)
Will do, you too - I'm not quite sure what to list up here for today, I really want to work on the income, but there always feels like so much "getting ready" - what Tilly wrote on her diary, why do the tasks never finish? That sort of thing :p what I'm really plotting, of course, is what to chuck out when I retire - not even the stuff I can sell, just the stuff I can chuck :D

Just trying to work out what cc to apply for to replace the Coop, and its tricky - nearly all the deals are with Mastercard, and I want a Visa, to keep my options open in case of problems with online banking rearing their head. The best seems to be the mbna More Rewards Amex, which "also" comes with a visa card in case amex isn't accepted. Its a bit faffy, but I'll make sure I understand which points go where before I start spending :) Its got the best compromise for what I want - I don't want a high minimum spend, I want visa, blah blah.

Tother thing is that Martin has a big article entitled "Ditch the charity credit card" - and the one I want rid of is a charity card! Hah!

Hah! Right, better prepare for work now ... laterz :)

Updated the sig! Basically I worked out where everything was, and made a note straight away :) the new sig doesn't include vouchers, because they don't go into pension accounts after all, but it includes everything I intended for it to include :) The vouchers are noted because they're real, they're not imaginary friends :) The Amazon payment arrived, that helped too.

Trouble is, £48k is quite big, so the percentage achieved is quite small … I need to find another way of counting it.

    Its all good tho :)

Yes to all of that - I've always got tasks to do. Most of them are quite small, but when added together they take up quite a bit of time.

And the chucking...... I am so looking forward to chucking things out next year. :rotfl:

In fact, I've slowed up on de-cluttering this year, so I can have more fun with it next year!

Yup, Still got over £2k of MB profit invested in my ISA + £500 or so 'float' for bets despite spending like a French monarch, only started in April.
