I hadn't realised it was a year since Taxi died. She was such a wonderful support and an inspiration. I remember that she was one of the people whose diary I always read and who I felt was a friend - though we never met outside these boards. Here's to Taxi - we miss you. :A

Hello KnitWitch, thanks for posting :coffee: I'll have a cuppa tea with you.

Today has been *lots* of writing and redrafting - the book is up to 24,000 words, and I accidentally wrote a draft of a freebie article to go on the blog (about how to nurse along the charge on our smartphones!), and invited an aquaculturist to do a guest blog - good going, seeing as I haven't got the blog up yet :o I've invented a name for me, too :D

Definitely going to join smarkets, thats tomorrow, and had better stop Ed and me confusing one another - SUB is a signup bonus, a free bet, not a referral - I read what I wanted to read! Bonus, Ed said, not referral. Really, I shouldn't be allowed out sometimes, its a miracle I ever made any profit at matched betting :rotfl:

Asda delivery that included the free £10 voucher has arrived, nice and early, and all put away. So since I started this challenge, thats an extra £28.58 already on the spreadsheet - 8p of that is interest from a closed account :D the rest is vouchers and whatnot. Including the big swagbucks signup that Martin negotiated :j which arrived today, counting that, I've now got £16 in Amazon vouchers from there. Wouldn't be worthwhile without the bonus, but I'm happy about that figure.

And as for the credit card. It didn't attract the late fee, because it arrived before they totted their figures up the next morning, but they said it attracted an interest payment of £1.15. Now, the bill was £50 - so technically, at 1.1% p.m., they're in the right. However, with all the shenanigans that have gone on in the Coop Group, this felt like taking a liberty, so I asked if they could cancel it, and they said yes. Can't check until end of biz on 28th, but believe me, I will ... Its totally my fault for paying late, but as a long standing customer, I feel entitled to a bit of understanding. Ahem. Though I do know they're in the right to charge :o And I phoned them using saynoto0870 :)

Anyway, I've fallen out of love with them :p so I'll be applying for a cashback card from somewhere else.

I know quite a few people who have fallen out of love with the coop - my mother is among them. Can't see why, their charity work in keeping rent boys in the standard of living that they truly deserve is surely beyond reproach?

Of course their shops being outrageously priced, and their banks having poor rates and features can't help too much...

Me again ... morning! Just had a very sweet start to the morning. My sister texted from Spain, asking what day it was - turns out she really has relaxed at half term :kisses3: for my sis.

So, today, its the first matched bet of this time around, using the freebie I've already got :j

Bit of cleaning - otherwise known as vacuuming up 3 spiders that have been living here this week, and emptying the container into the rec ground, where they can join their brothers and sisters :D

And it looks like a nice day today, so there might be gardening in my future ...

Phew ... joined exchange so I could lay my bet ... phoned my bank because the exchange wouldn't accept my money, so updated phone passwords and other security etc ... went back, realised I'd inputted the expiry date of my card wrongly :o:o:o ... deposit then went off without a hitch ... verified my identity by sending securitised scans of this that and the other ... confirmed my email address ... and I've placed the back and the lay, at 1.53/1.56, bearing in mind only 2% commission, I'll actually *get* £19.27 of the £20 free bet ... and there's another 2 free bets to use

Thats taken about 1.5 hours, but that was because of joining, not the actual bet: that time will be amortised against all the bets I do in future, and anyway, I *should* have updated my a/c info before. Still, I need a stiff drink now

Slight wrinkle in that I'm currently using my ordinary bank account, its the only account that currently has a debit card attached to it, so now I have to go back online and order a debit card for the other account. There's a button for that on the bank website, so it *should* be simple :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

ETA - debit card requested on my *other* other bank account ...
