Thank you KW, thank you Watty - she's very stoic (not like me!_ but obviously its one of the biggest things you face as an offspring, adult or not ...

Need to get a flu jab pronto (in amongst all the coughing and sneezing on trains), private, and my GP people don't do it, so I'm off for a walk and hope to find a walk in near the centre of town.

Long time lurker Karmacat, but thinking of you and your Mum. Pleased to read you are thinking about keeping yourself healthy too but I'm sure it is hard.

Thanks maggiem - delurk whenever you like! I couldn't get a booking before Monday, so I'll ring the chemist in the other direction. And have you ever come across a chemist who says, when asked if they do flu jabs, says "maybe"!!! I'm sure it's his business plan he's referring to, but that's not my priority right now!

Hi Fortune, thanks for the good wishes.

Been out, and it's a lovely day out there - shattered now, so no more blather :)

A week ago, though, everything changed - my mum has been given a terminal diagnosis of weeks or months, and has just been taken to hospital as I'm typing.

I'm really sorry to hear that. :grouphug:

So I'll be on and off, this diary will sometimes be quite irregular, but the monthly stuff goes on - I still need to pay credit cards, still need to send money to France every now and again, still need to do the bleeping tax returns, though I really wish I didn't.

Don't worry about how regular your diary is. Unfortunately, the not-fun side of life is always as regular as Sennacot...
