Hello all! How I wish I was with my prince! I met another prince yesterday, by the way - a BT OpenReach engineer, as one reason I was absent again is that all my telecoms broke down completely, and I'd booked another trip to see my mum, which happened before the comms could get fixed.

A week ago, though, everything changed - my mum has been given a terminal diagnosis of weeks or months, and has just been taken to hospital as I'm typing. I got back last night, am busy repacking my suitcase to go up there again either today or at short notice any time, but I need to keep an eye on activity levels, and not get sucked in to the fatigue, which would be disastrous right now, so sitting down and typing is useful.

So I'll be on and off, this diary will sometimes be quite irregular, but the monthly stuff goes on - I still need to pay credit cards, still need to send money to France every now and again, still need to do the bleeping tax returns, though I really wish I didn't.

Thank you both :grouphug: I guess that smiley can do for acceptance of hugs, as well as giving them.

No news yet, I can't settle to anything, so I'm going to run through the bag and finish repacking.

ETA - news, she's back at home. So I get to finish drying my clothes ... life is day by day now, ready to rush. At least the money arrived in my current account, so I paid the credit cards ...

So sorry to read the news about your mum. Sending hugs and love x
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
