Oh beanie, what a shame - if I had age-appropriate energy, mine would be doable, as its just a small suburban thing, and I'd have kept pruning the laurel regularly enough that it'd never have got to the height it is. But thats life, thats the way it went.
Is yours nice to sit out in, at least? I must get some ant killer on the patio, and then mine will be nicethere's shade and dappled sunshine
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Right, I've got that guy's phone number, but I have 3 hours work today, and quite a bit of preparation before I'm ready.
Finance wise, found a Boots till spit in my accounts for "treats for the over 60s" including 25% off glasses  which I still don't wearbut they do seem to increase the number of points per expenditure (on Boots branded products, which is what I buy from them), so I'm going to apply for one
Plus boring adminny things.

Mr Goldie has the over 60's Boots card, but we rarely go in Boots these days.
We both have about £20 worth of points on our cards. I'm saving mine until I need new makeup (which, as I rarely wear make up, may not happen soon)
Mr Godie recently tried to spend his points on razor blades, but they didn't have his brand in stock. But he'll try again next time
The countdown is in single figures:T:j. It's within touching distance.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Single figures is good, isn't it :j:j:j
Not sure how interesting it is - though its *definitely* interesting in the sense of the Chinese cursePension funds have dipped a wee bit, of course.
And guess what - I cooked raw food today :rotfl: half a dozen rhubarb sticks from the garden, and some onions that had sprouted in the fridge
Very glad today's over, it was loooong, certainly the longest day of week 9.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
