Ouch, beanie, I could rather say the same thing to you
thats not a good timestamp for someone living in this country
To be honest, I slept badly, for no good reason, just the way it goes sometimes ... one of those nights when you look at the time and think, omigod, I *can't* get up yet - except you apparently did, you poor thing.
I had to try to get more sleep, I have 2.5 hours work today, which is a lot for meBut it does remind me that so many people (especially teachers!!!) don't have that luxury, of trying to catch up on their sleep.

I like your relaxed attitude to sleep. Hope you catch up tonight
I can function ok on 5 hours per night and can go a few nights without sleep just naps (as discovered with ill children) so I try to remember this when I am a bit sleepless and try to chill out about it.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I confess, the relaxed attitude is from willpower, as in "I will not go crazy that my neighbours are noisy until 1am", "I will not go crazy that the site of my shoulder operation still hurts", "I will not obsess that the circles under my eyes never go away"
Obsessing never, ever helps you to sleep
- I can do one night on 5 hours, but not much more than that, not any more - maybe when the job has been kondoed, that ability will come back, and you're *supposed* to need less sleep as you age
Balance is all :beer::cool::beer:
Another four books have gone The Way Of The Woo :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Good decluttering :j :j
I'm rubbish without sleepI can do a night on 5 hours if I absolutely have to, and if I'm doing something really intensive the following day so I keep going without realising - but if I'm sat at a desk trying to concentrate, no chance
For me, if I'm working at home and am exhausted, it's ALWAYS better to have a nap for an hour than try to work through it.
Two nights of six hours and I'm whacked. Much prefer a good 7 or 8Not very good at sleeping in late though - I'm usually awake by about 7.15 these days, even if I don't get up til later :rotfl:
I confess (and I know how annoying this is) that I'm actually really good at sleeping
Rarely wake up at night under normal circumstances
sorry
Sadly Mr Cheery is exactly the opposite and wakes at every single opportunity - I'm back in the attic tonight as he landed up on the sofa again last night with all my sniffling and snuffling, oh dear!
Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight after all that!0 -
Hi Cheery :hello:
Sadly for me it was another one of seeing the time at 3am, and *waiting* till I felt I could legitimately get up at 6
And I hate to tell you, but 7.15 *is* a lie in in this neck of the woods :rotfl:
Anyway, I'll try to do some work in the garden today - bit of physical work might help. So today, there's:
- 2 hours work, half on the phone so thats good.
- bit of garden work as above.
- update Sainsabo order, forgot toothpaste etc.
- tidy bedroom, its getting ridiculous:rotfl:
- sort the kefir grains - a kind online acquaintance sent me some, and this batch is *so* ready to move on, but I want to use water kefir. Little bit of research needed, but at least I have the bookmarks2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sorry to hear about the rubbish sleep. Very hard to function when overtired, and I agree with CheeryDaff that when one is out and 'has to' the adrenalin kicks in whereas it's harder at home.
Snow in The Smoke this morning - the fewest of most pathetic flakes, but still ....Fleabay + Weebuy + Gumfree since started diary 94 items sold, £649.71 clear profit0 -
Absolutely, when you've got to, you've got to - sometimes overtiredness has struck me down even then, to be honest - I get dizzy, like I'm drunk
though its not as much fun!
Snow! We had frost here, but only for a very short time, its actually not bad out there.
List update:
- 2 hours work, half on the phone so thats good.
half done
- bit of garden work as above.
not yet
- update Sainsbo order, forgot toothpaste etc.
yes, that was easy peasy
- tidy bedroom, its getting ridiculous:rotfl:
yes, not too bad at all.
- sort the kefir grains
Mmm, kind of - stuck them in water that had been boiled and had sugar added. We'll see.
- washing machine on
Yes - it was originally on Cheery's list, and that reminded metis on the line right now :j
At this rate, I may bring forward the whole "sorting-out my electronics" from my holiday later this month2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Erm. Apologies if I've missed this in the many pages of your diary I've yet to catch up. But how is sorting out electronics suitable for holiday? :rotfl:Fleabay + Weebuy + Gumfree since started diary 94 items sold, £649.71 clear profit0

I'm with Cheery on the sleep thing - NEED 7-8 hours or I don't function! but then again with 12 hour days out of the house - not much else happens on weekdays!
OH is much like Mr Daff's - wakes up at the slightest noise - a frog could croak in the next county and he'd be up to investigate. Even moonlight wakes him up!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! :o:o:rotfl: Well
its a break from paid work, and I'm not well enough to go anywhere, or do the amount of gardening that's needed, so I need *something* to do inside the house that isn't physically taxing other than walking up and down stairs
:rotfl: Electrics, electronics, all sorts of stuff is bunged into the "pantry" and the desk, and I don't know where anything is, it really slows me down. Today for instance I found my stash of lightbulbs - the kitchen uses three halogens so does the bathroom - they were on the wardrobe floor.
having a sort out can be very lovely!

And *you* have loooooong days out of the house, I'm not surprised not much else happens on weekdays :kisses3:
Client work is finished, it started to rain so I brought the washing in, will reconsider my list and do a little something before noshing down anything and everything
