I fleabayed a lot of my stuff last year, and also sold a lot via Nearly New sales. Most stuff this year has gone to CS, but any 'outstanding' items will still be fleabayed. Kids stuff generally gets tried at NNS a couple of times, and then donated :) A lot of small OPs were made that way - and they soon add up! :)

I'll definitely be working on amazon/ ebay/ webuybooks/ abebooks this weekend, and I'll see what gives - I've got to do it, my kondo-ing is making the to-go pile of books uncomfortably large :D

List-achievement was abominable :o I *did* do the gardening, massive great bag of prunings, and a little one of grass, that was great. But nothing else - took half a dozen phone calls today, all spaced out, about visiting the hospice tomorrow, preparing for it, selecting card etc etc, postponed indefinitely 3 hours after final arrangements made. I feel sorry for her husband, who had to relay the message, and for my sister, who had to bear me prattling on at the start of what should be a joyous weekend for her in relation to the planning of her son's wedding, and I feel embarrassed for myself as I somehow turned into a weird version of Gwyneth Paltrow in the way I was rambling :(

I'm just going to work at not falling ill with torturing myself about it. It's an eye opener, for sure, but I'm done now.

KC, although I don't really know the ins and outs, I can tell you really care, but you have done your best now.

Hope you get some peace, you deserve it.

That's really kind, earthgirl - that helps with putting perspective on things, which is why I'm writing about it here, I suppose ... thank you, much appreciated.

I've been trying to have a me day today, because of the cancellation of the hospice trip ... hasn't quite worked! Though this afternoon was brilliant - an hour's pruning in the quarant that I mentioned to Cheery the other day, thats completely untouched. Its now touched :) Morning was good too, the tidying and scanning that I promised myself.

Then panic phone calls, about my brother - turns out he's not dead in a ditch somewhere, he's been out in the garden the *whole* afternoon, while his wife's been at her sister's - of such things as these are family dramas made ....

Does anybody remember the last episode of ER? I taped it from the TV - crying buckets! I think I'm going to release that into the wild, actually, don't fancy that again!

    Have a good evening.

I loved ER when it was on - I'd like to watch it all again some day :)

Absolutely, it was wonderful! I still like Noah Wyle on Falling Skies, as I'm into science fiction :)

Starting to see a bit of sun get through the fog, I'm all for that. I think today might be a repeat of yesterday, which is boring but necessary, except that the phone calls today are the *planned* ones, not the unrealistic emergency ones :rotfl:

And I've rediscovered planefinder, so I can watch my sister's flight :D she'll freak out when she knows :D that's what big sisters are for, I think :D

Morning! Using planefinder was great :j though much more difficult than I anticipated for takeoffs and landings :D I'm sure she flew over my house as her plane was circling to land :D

Lots of bramble roots were got rid of yesterday, plus ordinary prunings. You Gov surveys, tidying, the lot. Tidying especially important as I'm starting work earlier than usual today - I need the digestion time on the computer, so I'm still here, but need to get cracking now.

    Lovely and sunny outside

I love it as well :T. We like to play 'guess the flight' when planes go over (Marrakesh is a good bet if going south) and also good to watch progress of rellies & friends. When Mr GG was in the ME I loved watching his plane taxiing and taking off, knowing he was on his way back to me :heartsmil.

Well done on the brambles - I had a similar battle with cacti yesterday - luckily no-one was going past when the roots finally gave way and I ended up on my backside :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
