Aw KC, that must be very difficult (((((((((((()))))))))))))) I hope you're able to feel peaceful about it whatever happens xx0
-
Thank you both, much appreciated :kisses3: no news yet.
So, today is about focus! Focus, woman
- clear shopping away.
- get the recycling out of the house and into the bin for tomorrow
- pruning
- Hunger Games/Buttercup blog
- t'other blog, about flooding, I think. Drafting only, on both counts.
The phrase "contributing to my future" comes up, which sounds both portentous and pretentious, but there it isThat's what planning is! No paid work today, so its all for me
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Contact made! I offered this weekend or any time the week after next as times when I'm available, and they plumped for this weekend because of what the consultants had been saying. It sounds like I *will* get to see her, and I'm very glad of it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

So a date has been fixed. This is a difficult journey for all those touched, sending love xxMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Thank you all; such a tricky situation. Her husband will pick me up from the local train station, so I'll have another chat with him.
Tried to focus on my own work today, a bit awkward, but not bad:
- followed up query, another two hours work next week, before my staycation
- did a good first draft of one blog post, half of another.
- biiiiiiiiig chunk of gardening - I'm liking rain when it enables me to pull out grass roots more easilyand then splodging topsoil over things to give the worms a chance. I did this combo in several places - I'm going to be able to buy some low-growing herbs from the local garden centre at this rate :j:j:j
Shopping is cleared, but rats, I forgot about the recycling, I hate sorting that in the dark. Better hurry ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! Caught up on an hour's sleep, yay, and *still* had time to also catch up on putting the recycling out
after I got stuck at the computer. Looked at the set of books I had out to declutter, ad decided I want all of them but one. Back on the shelves they go
Dishwasher and washing machine have both done their thing this morning too, and its spring, its spring, I can feel it in the air :j:j:j I can also see it in the number of spiders' nests I have to remove from the porch, but thats a price I'm willing to pay :rotfl:
So, hmm, the rest of today:
- Buttercup's blog post.
- relocate to my office upstairs, to scan things, and tidy up at the same time, it's a bit of a nightmare in there.
- more gardening! The stuff I did yesterday is really visible in terms of the effect it had, I'm chuffed, so I can do more of that2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I have in my sticky mitts the Kon-thingy-declutter book
:D
It's quite thick but will have read and start a declutter plan :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: like you though things may well be rescued from the declutter pileDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0 -
I never read it :rotfl: I just caught the ethos from the thread on here :j but that thing of "does it spark joy" is great. I'm willing to let something go, but if, when I hold it, it says "this is part of a project for when I retire in just under six months, and I love the ethos anyway" then it stays
Just been tidying ... and today, by the way, is the end of week 25 in the retirement countdown :beer:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
