It's been so windy, no wonder nearly got blown away. Our new bird table kept on getting blown over. I hope it's not too damaged, as we've only had it a month.
Hope you are sitting with your feet up, having a good rest:)Early retired - 18th December 2014

I use 'patchwork fund' slightly differently - mine came about because I wanted a patchwork life, a bit of work, a lot of not work, maybe two or three different jobs, not a giant full time career - and my patchwork fund was going to allow me to continue that life without worrying about dosh too much :j Then I got a full time job :rotfl: so patchwork fund grew faster, even though it wasn't being funded through lots of different income streamsIt's giving me the opportunity to live a patchwork life later more easily :j :j

I didn't get blown away :j thanks for the good wishes all :kisses3:
I'd forgotten about the work/not work mainspring of patchwork, Cheeryjust goes to show
I suppose working on the income is the issue for me. But following my actual interests the way I used to would certainly up the patchworkiness, once the income's sorted.
Gave myself quite a talking to last night. I have a blogpost ready, so I'll get that online, but then its about the money. I did actually tot up my income for last year, and, well, it was 30% down from the previous year  So, its about the matched betting and slots, and proofreading - can't learn copywriting under that sort of pressure, but I *know* I can proofread other people's stuff, so I'll complete my profile and get to it, I've been learning my way around elance, time to jump in.
Got to do the banking today, such as it is, buy a bit of veg, and visit the polling station - I won't say "vote".2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Will you spoil your ballot paper then?0

In a word, yes
There was a good article in The Guardian about it. I'm in the safe seat of a party I would *never* choose, so there's no chance of tactical voting saying what I want it to say, and I do think (whisper it, and only on my diary thread) the big parties are all as bad as each other.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I am in the position of either voting with my conscience or voting to keep the destroyers of education out.0

And they're opposing votes, Al? That's tricky
I've always voted with my conscience, but the betrayals of those beliefs have come too thick and fast to ignore any longer
