Hope the verification call went ok, KC - the idea of you with fuzzy hair and balancing a laptop whilst running around brought a smile to my face, I have to confess! :D:D

Just read some very heartening news on the beeb...

    Highest election turnout this century
Some 66.1% of eligible voters registered their vote, up from 65.1% in 2010, continuing a steady increase from 59.4% in 2001 and 61.4% in 2005, but still some way short of the 71.4% turnout at the 1997 election.
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)
(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)
    ...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)
New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!

I heard those statistics too, rtandon, but wasn't at all heartened by it! It still makes the news when a third of all eligible voters didn't vote. The trend may be upwards but it's still a shocking state of affairs IMO:eek:

:rotfl: I'd tried to perfect the set up so hard, as well ... made sure they weren't looking up my nostrils etc - but I forgot about the lighting source, so when they took a photo, they could see perfectly well how ancient I was, no matter that I managed to smile well. Hey ho, clients will never see it, and I'm verified now. Just got to get the portfolio I chose up onto the site, and I'm 100% verified :)

I think thats amazing, giving the degree of loathing and cynicism towards politics :D very interesting to hear that :D

As for me - nada today, I'm off out to London, I caught up on a couple of hours' sleep. I wish I could cut the grass, but I'm not going to :D Hope everyone has a good day, and takes their umbrella with them - those clouds look *big*!

I've not seen it - going to have to investigate now :D

Just been answering a YouGov survey and it asked how likely I thought it was that there would be an apocolyptic disaster in my lifetime, and whether I'd prepared for one :D Thought of you :D

also answered 'no' to the second question :rotfl: but said I thought I'd survive for 'up to a week' regardless :rotfl:
