Both of our ISAs are close to complete (final two funds yet to appear with BestInvest) but nothing has happened with my wife's SIPP.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

Still one fund in limbo appearing nowhere, and the cash is still having a good rest in HL's coffers before it speeds on its journey.
    IANAL etc.
  • I just enquired with III about the state of my transfer from HL and was told: "in some instances, due to the level of administration involved, a SIPP transfer can take up to 6 months to complete."

I'm done too! 10wks and 3days since II received my transfer forms and all my investments are now showing, plus the cash, and despite HL valuation not showing which were ISA wrapped and which weren't they appear to have taken my word for it and assigned appropriately. I now want to mess it all up by bed and ISA some of my trading account funds ;)

Maybe not but III probably hope that saying 6 months will have this effect on you for the time being .....

    Oooh, you're so brave!
Good luck and do let us know how it goes, perhaps on a different thread.

    Update:

Following my complaint to HL over the length of time taken to transfer my accounts they offered £50 as "a gesture of goodwill", which I accepted and received today.

The amount seemed reasonable as I was not claiming I had suffered any financial loss and I was inconvenienced rather than distressed by the delay.

I previously and separately received £100 and the return of my exit fees over my complaint to FOS regarding HL's attempt to charge these exit fees in unfair circumstances. I was also seeking an admission of liability and apology over this matter, but settled without receiving this. (I doubted FOS could demand that HL either apologise or admit liability and so I settled without a formal FOS ruling. FOS basically acted as an intermediary and obtained this negotiated settlement.)

So all my complaints with HL are now finally settled.

However I am still liaising with the FCA over their role in preventing the continued use of unfair terms by providers.

I've passed the four month mark, the only thing left showing on my HL login is some cash, the last fund is still in limbo somewhere appearing on neither system, hopefully that will reappear soon.
    IANAL etc.

Sixteen weeks for final ISA to complete transfer from HL to II!

The other ISA took 12 weeks and the Trading a/c 8 weeks.

They all had a similar mix of funds and shares/ITs. The funds took longest in all three cases as others have found. The final fund took five weeks to arrive at II after leaving HL! There were faults at both HL & II but the fund managers seem to cause most of the delays.

Clearly the process needs improving - what do these fund managers do when they receive a tranfer request - file it? Lose it? Ignore it?

Thanks for the advice & encouragement everyone.

So four months and one week, all funds transferred, just waiting for the cheque to be sent by HL, which they tell me will be done, 'in the near future.'
    IANAL etc.
