frustrating are the funds that appear in neither HL or II accounts either partly or in full, and appear to have got lost between the two.

    That happens a lot.

I can currently see a fund in *both* accounts at the same time, which doesn't make a lot of sense, but HL's admin seems to be a train wreck right now.

4 months & counting on my HL SIPP transfer to II - all shares over, one income fund arrived at II as accumulation units (still waiting for a correction on this - HL blames II, II has "passed my comment to the transfer team" so far without effect) one fund & cash still with HL.

Partner's SIPP transfer (also from a February request) completely stalled despite a complaint to HL. Will need to escalate this one.

Of course, HL claim they haven't lost much business as a result of their substantial fee hikes, so probably can't allocate more staff to all the people who aren't leaving. Hence the delays. For all the people who aren't leaving. Or something.

nearly 3 months now since I initiated transfer from HL to II, half my funds are now with II, but they have been placed in my trading account instead of ISA account.

I phoned them about two weeks ago and got the same 'passed to transfer team', but no change yet.

Beginning to wish I hadn't started the move, least HL were quick to respond to problems and sort them out.

None of my shares have moved yet.

And mine, everything seems to get passed to their 'Transfer Team' - coming up to 5 months now for me!

In the spirit of fairness it may be appropriate to point out that HL are unlikely to lie about the client numbers or business totals, meanwhile not all customers are on substantial fee hikes, mine are much lower now :-)

True, as a listed company they are prevented from putting false information into the public domain.

The posts of many would suggest however that they have many current 'clients' who effectively departed months ago but still show as active.

That's a good point. I transferred my ISA account and closed my F&S account, so I have no sub-accounts left with HL, yet my online account is still active, I still have a client number and continue to receive all the usual correspondence, so I guess I am still classed as a customer.

    As do I.
