            Morning hon
Sounds like you've had a rough time with DS school but looks like things are moving in the right direction so that's brilliant news, you must be so relieved that things are going well.
I noticed your £6 a day challenge is going well too. It's amazing how easy it can be most days. Will you be putting the £15 from Hal**ax in there too?
 Hope you have a good week x CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832 x CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

            Hi Sassy,
Thanks - the school situation has gone well, and the £6.00 a day challenge is ticking along nicely.
The Halif*x £15.00 money went into the challenge pot, but the £100.00 will not because I have already taken that into account for this months' budget!
The two DVD's sold almost immediately yesterday, so that is another £14.00 in the pot and I am up to £94.00.
I never made it to the gym last night, because DH needed the car, so Wednesday I will be making it an absolute priority and I will head out there, early evening, for a huge spa session followed by some running on the treadmill and a Yoga class, I can't wait.
I have cancelled a couple of days extra work, that I had lined up for my challenge this month, in favour of balance, as DS is now off school and I was trying to cram far too much in.
I have now planned a long day at work today, and Thursday, but days out with DS and friends on Wednesday and Friday.
 So Key things for today:-
 1. Post two ebay parcels
 2. Keep on top of the house
 3. Prepare well for an important meeting later in the week.
 Menu
 1. Weetabix minis and almonds
 2. Salmon salad
 3. Chicken and Apricot Curry and Brown Rice

            Hi Rainbow
That's the thing I love/hate about working for yourself. The fact you can take the time off to be with your kids but the fact that you then have to work stupid hours to make up for it! I'm trying to make the same balance atm which is going ok today as I'm on sofa & Littley's watching Disney - again! lol
I don't blame you for not putting the £100 into the £6 a day challenge - that would be good however putting it in the budget is what I would probably do too.
 Enjoy the gym tonight x CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832 x CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Thanks Sassy, you are spot on about working for yourself. My situation is complicated because I have a PAYE local authority job with paid holidays etc, a contract job that will/will not be renewed in September, regular self employed work with a mystery shopping company and various other bits and pieces that come in !!!! but I have always worked it around DS and have not used child care for years.
DS is 15 now and I am seriously thinking about getting one job in a field that interests me, after the summer holidays, but will start thinking about the pro's and cons of that mid-June."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

            Morning Rainbow
I keep thinking about doing something in a field I really love but to do that I need to retrain and obviously that's money! However, Littley wants me with her at the moment so I'm more than happy to be here while she isn't embarrassed to be with me! I think I'll be doing the same as you and waiting until she's about 15, unless she's had enough by then! x CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. You are both so naughty, but that has made my day! I never read it that way at all........... :rotfl:
Had a lovely day out yesterday, with some great folk and kids, spent more than I intended too, but not so much that it can't be reigned in.
I have picked up an Aldi voucher (Oops, originally posted Audi voucher .... I wish/Freudian slip) and I have decided to do my first ever shop there this week as I have an MS to do near it, I am hoping this will balance my budget..... exciting times

That has made me laugh even more INOD!
I got a cheque through for CPI miss-selling, for £133.28, yesterday!! I am debating which pot to put it in, but as all current ones are on track I have decided to add .............. a treat pot! This one is for extras on holidays/weekends away, Diva activities that will keep me smiling on this journey etc, you get the idea.......... , and it is going to get it's fair share of cash flow :T.
Today I am heading up to Pitlochry for the day, the sun is shining brightly and I am feeling light hearted. I am going with DS, my 80 year old auntie and a friend in his sixties who has learning difficulties, and has the mind of an 8 year old. DS and I usually take this friend out, on a day trip, each school holidays, and he bounds around like a Labrador puppy, loving everybody and everything. It is always nice to see things fresh through his eyes :T"I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250
