The Adventures of a Debt Defying Diva

Hi Sassy, in principle it all looks so simple, but I'm just a girl who can't say no!
Yesterday was lovely and relaxing, I spent nothing but DH popped out to Sainsburys and came back with 2 bottles of red wine, a cheesecake and a bottle of gin.
I made roast pork and all the trimmings for tea, had a couple of glasses of red wine with it, a couple of G&T's and a big slice of cheesecake with double cream:eek:. I think I may just have gone over the 1200 calories
.
So the 7lb in 7 weeks, starts today instead, yesterday was just a little blip on my inevitable road to success :rotfl:.
The weather is glorious again, and today we are heading up to Loch Katrine for a walk and I am taking a posh picnic! Smoked salmon sandwiches are the order of the day! By accidentally leaving my purse behind I should ensure a NSD, failing that DH will pick up the tab.

A posh picnic is an abomination. A picnic should be what you ate outdoors when a child. Enjoy.

I can't get excited by cheese and pickle sandwiches, fairy cakes and orange juice anymore. It takes prawn or salmon sandwiches, kettle crisps, cream cakes and chilled Pinot Grigio, to get me out of the house now:rotfl:.
My holiday from home is going pretty much to plan, and my purse has not been opened yet! As I was lounging around reading my Kindle yesterday, before heading out, I noticed a thick layer of dust on the dressing table. I heard this voice in my head giving me a ticking off for slovenly behaviour, but I had no trouble ignoring it and instead I wrote legibly, "dust Tuesday, cleaner on holiday until then!"
Today I am going on a bike ride with DS, and I may try and talk him into treating me to an ice cream as he has pots of money
. DH is taking us out to one of those cheap as chips 'pig out' on all you can eat Chinese restaurants - Jimmy Chungs, this evening, where we are meeting up with a number of other families, so that should be a good night out too.
I would still rather be in Italy though ............."I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

Why? You've got glorious times to indulge your food snobbery
. You've avoided bank holiday airports and you're sticking to your overall grand plan that'll mean you doing Italy in style rather than worrying about the cost! LOL, you are right as usual INOD. In my defense, my food snobbery was MSE style, with all the aforesaid items bought on offer, or 2 for one, with a £5.00 off voucher and a coupon thrown in :T.
I don't need to give up Italy I just need to plan for it and pay for it in advance .............. :T, I am off to start that dream board.
I may stick in some less materialistic goals too to satisfy my souls cravings :rotfl:. I would love to go to Tibet!!"I wondered why the Frisbee was getting bigger, and then it hit me". £9/£250

It looks like my soul craves four wheel drive and first class hotels too INOD! This expedition also has Edmund Hillary's dishy son Peter thrown in as the guide.
I have woken up this morning and, for the first time in April, I have had a desire to write up a list and work through it in triple quick time, so the few days of strictly enforced bone idleness have worked. I brainstormed what I needed to do to ensure the next few days run smoothly and profitably and I now have 33 things to cross off, and I am starting at 7.00 am. The plan is if I cross off 5 things from the list, I can put my feet up for 30 minutes and start watching series 1 of '24', which I picked up for £1.00 in a charity shop.
As a reward for all this anticipated productiveness, I am going out with my mother-in-law tonight to Pizza Express and then we are moving on to watch NOAH. I have got vouchers for both of us through Tesco clubcard, so there will only be drinks to pay for, and after overindulging at the weekend I am back to soft drinks until month end!!

Fifteen things out of 33 done and I have not had any desire to stop until now ....... I did not eat all the frogs first but instead I concentrated on the quick hits, and now have 18 fat frogs, eye balling me.
This is usually where I stop, but I have decided to turn them all into frogs legs with garlic butter, which I am partial to.
My frogs have four legs each, so I am going to turn 18 frogs into 72 frogs legs of bite size pieces. The new list is
Frogs legs:-
1 - 8 - Done - recording and uploading audio files for a job - delegated it in the end to DS as I was ready to throw a brick at the computer. DS did it in 10 minutes . :T
9 - 16 - Done - Helping DS get organised for English and Spanish assessments, and checking holiday assignments. :T
17 - 24 - Done - Cleaning the kitchen - sorting fridge and cupboards:T
25 - 32 - Changing the beds
33 - 40
41 - 48
49 - 56
57 - 64
65 - 72

I really enjoyed yesterday, NOAH was much better than I expected and my mother-in-law was good company, and happily indulged in some serious ex-husband bashing, and emotion purging, after a recent incident involving him, which was completely unacceptable. DH never takes side, which drives his mum mad, but I would not have survived 5 minutes of marriage to his Dad, and think that his latest wife, who is roughly my age, is a saintly martyr, though I am very fond of her!
I am beginning to control this cruise ship again, rather than being a passenger on a sail boat with no wind, and it feels goooooooood.
So the plan for this week is to tackle a couple of big frogs each day, which are mainly housework related (no surprise there), and do three things that will take me towards my three 'f' goals. FOOD, FITNESS AND FINANCE.
25 - 32 - Changing the beds done DS' just ours to do
33 - 40 - Deep clean both bathrooms
41 - 48 - Deep clean our bedroom
49 - 56 - Put all washing away/ironing
57 - 64 - Hoover dust all house
65 - 72 - Clean sofa, wash cushions and sweep under sofas.
Today.
Food - 1200 mainly healthy calories, 5 fruit and veg, 2 litres water
Finance - Parcel and send off ebayed DVD (£7.00) - Do Mystery shop (£14.00)
Fitness - 30 minutes on exercise bike.
We are all back at work/school today, so it will be all go soon.
A couple of extras:-
I had some sad news, over the weekend, that my cousin had died unexpectedly, he was just 60 years old. I will send a card to his sister today.
A friend, who's a single mum, has just had an operation which has gone really badly, but she is back home now. A rota has been organised for checking in on her and her DS, with some food, so I have volunteered for Wednesday with shepherd's pie, and Friday with chicken pie, mustn't forget.
