There's far too many sensible people arguing with an eejit (Irish and Scottish form of an idiot)!0

If CIFAS, Action fraud and Trading Standards are to jointly serve a notice to this company directors for an enquiry/meeting with no prior enforcement order in place, where would that meeting 'by default' take place (or in other words notice addressed to? )
@wealdroam, do you now understand the significance of an 'address' now?. That is why we have legislations in place....0 -

It is you that does not understand, hardly surprising really considering you lack of understanding of English law in general let alone the language.0 -

They will meet at an agreed place.0 -

So, they would be able to go round and knock on the door, but it is a bit pointless serving papers.
In fact, OP, as you know so much about this. Why do you not get out and serve papers on them. We will sit here and deliberate your actions when you have done so.
Oh, and by the way, again I ask the simple question
OP, have you got your money back yet?
and in case OP is lacking in sight, I will make it easy for us all to read.

They would issue the notice to the registered address as they have to by law, which would then be forwarded to the trading address. The meeting would take place at an agreed location, most likely their trading address. As would any inspection from HMRC.
There would be no point in Action Fraud/Trading Standards/HMRC turning up at the registered address if that is not where they have told companies house their company records are kept.
Now do you understand the difference between a registered address and trading address?
Oh, and if you check the address of pretty much any accountant in the country you will find dozens of business registered to that address, because that's the way it works.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

And the legislation that covers the requirements of a registered address is the "Companies act 2006", and what exactly are the laid down requirements given in this act for a registered address?86
A company's registered office.
A company must at all times have a registered office to which all communications and notices may be addressed.
That's it. No mention of that address being required for visits by TS, Action Fraud etc, simply an address that can be used for sending mail.

exacltly, Note that this is a forwarding address.
"IF" their letters/communication are not forwarded - officers can still turn up at this 'default address' and issue an enforcement order.0
