Yes please monz. Recently if I've been on a long shift, I've worn my running trainers which are comfy but would be better to have a separate pair just for work.

Down in price. Can get in different colours so I have grey and black. I keep the black for work only. So comfortable :) Gonna try get them all xx

Thanks monz, I'll order some on payday.

I'm currently sitting in a park in Edinburgh enjoying the sun :D. It's beautiful here, just have to be careful as I got slightly burnt yesterday and don't want to make it worse.

So yesterday I spent £14.57 on a wee top up shop to do OH while I'm gone. I did a bit of gardening and tidied the flat then spent the rest of the day lounging in the garden. My lovely neighbour gave me a loan of a sun lounger and said I could borrow it whenever I wanted :D

    Congratulations!
That original debt is history - through sheer hard work and determination, well done!

and your (necessary) expenses for the new flat are just a temporary debt, I see you are almost 30% of the way towards clearing those too.

really, really pleased for you :-)
  • Why didn't I get an invite to the celebration. You need to mark this by more than just a sig change.

Thanks monz, Boodedoo and INOD. I guess it feels a little anti climatic considering I've still got debt to pay off but you're right INOD it does need a wee celebration.

So the original debt is now gone :j:j:j:j and I shall have a wee gin tonight to celebrate

I've been visiting my parents since Saturday so have been taking a break from posting. Heading back up just now so normal service will resume. Had a lovely few days and other than travel costs and £12.40 on lunch with a friend yesterday, I have not spent anything.

    So payday yesterday - £1731.91
    - £1100 usual bills
    - £190.38 original debt
    - £90 new flat debt
    - £100 electricity bill
    - £26 entry fee for a 10k
    - £25 sponsor for a girl at work
    - £150 food
    - £25 social
    - £25.53 clothes

The £25 social is for a meal out with friends. One of the girls is up visiting from England so we are having a catchup. We will be having another meal out at the end of the month when another friend is visiting, however, I will fund that from pay from 2nd job.

This pay hasn't really stretched to getting clothes, once I buy work trainers which are the priority I will only really have enough left for socks and possibly a primarni top, however, maybe next month :). I also haven't budgeted anything for toiletries and I will need face cream in the next few weeks but again I'll fund it from 2nd job. I've got a wee shift booked for the weekend and a couple for next week.

Spent £17.64 yesterday on food but will need to pop in past somewhere today to get some gf/df items that Lidl don't sell.

Will also need to get some throat pastilles and cough mixture. I didn't sleep well last night due to coughing, my throat is sore and I'm incredibly snotty - just what I want for my first day back at work after hols ;)

OH reminded me last night that I need to book travel tickets for when we go to Glasgow at the start of next month. Totally forgot to budget for this, thankfully he gets on the bus for free so it shouldn't be too much.

Also forgot to budget for Father's day and I haven't seen my gran since her birthday a few days ago so will need to get her a wee something.

£6.32 spent yesterday on food and £6.75 on throat pastilles, cough mixture and nasal spray. I went to the doctors late afternoon as I felt it was more than a cold - I have a throat infection and have a course of antibiotics to take :(
