Am fine monz, just busy as always. Had an inspection at work the last few days so always a bit of a stressful time but all was fine so relaxing with a cider
Payday on Thursday so currently working on a budget. I've reserved a couple of things from Arg0s for the new flat - a new iron and a couple of lamps so will need £50 for that. I'm also planning to put aside £100 for some new clothes for me and I'm out for tea with the girls on Friday so will need to budget for that. Need to budget some money for going to Edinburgh next month too. Plus want to pay off a chunk of what's left of the credit card. I've a day off tomorrow so will finish off my budget then.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.980 -

Thanks monz, had a lovely day off just hanging out with OH.
Went to the supermarket and spent £45.12 which is a bit more than I wanted but well stocked up on all the essentials so hopefully won't need much over the next week or so.
Budget for pay tomorrow - £1540.69
- £1000 rent and direct debits
- £100 clothes
- £50 Arg0s
- £30 meal out with the girls on Friday
- £250.69 to debt
- £50 electricity bill
- £60 Edinburgh
Won't quite make my target of £800 this month because of budgeting money to buy new clothes, however, still will be under £1000 :T not long to go nowMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hi misstara
Just come across your diary after I've started my own and read the first post about being in debt for the whole of your 20's.
I thought I'd figured myself out but that realisation hit me like a brick. I'm 26 and been in debt since 19. Aiming for it to be clear by 2020.
I haven't read your whole thread yet but I will and skipping to the end that you've £1k left is amazing. Well done!!
I'm inspired!!

Hi ML, thanks for posting. No need to read through the rest of the diary, it's not particularly exciting but am so happy to be under £1000Good luck with clearing your debt, I would not be nearly debt free if it wasn't for my diary and MSE. I'll pop over for a nosey at your diary later.
Almost at work so best go. Picked up my iron and lamps this morning. Absolutely love my new iron (didn't think I would ever say that sentence :rotfl:).Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

A good chunk under a thousand, whoopee for you!
Really, really pleased for you, you have been so focussed and the end is in sight :-)
PS As you love that iron so much, I can send my ginormous ironing pile to keep you happy :-)0
