How Many Coats Do You Have?

Go on, confess! I began to wonder about my coat-collecting habit when I started my New Year decluttering at the same time as finding a lovely Laura Ashley coat in the charity shop and bringing it home as it was 'exactly what I needed.'
So, for the record, in the coat cupboard there is -
A short navy Laura Ashley coat, perfect with jeans
A hooded rainy day mac
A very long, very formal black coat for winter days and funerals
A short, belted mac given to me by a friend and pinched on an occasional basis by DD
A fleece
A gardening coat with a million useful pockets
Another gardening coat, which was my old waterproof
A waterproof jacket for walking (which doesn't happen very often)
A furry gilet that I used when I was studying to keep warm in a cold house
A black going out jacket
I think about three of these could go but I just can't make myself do it. I certainly can't justify spending any more on coats. I feel faintly ashamed.
Anyone else with a similar problem?

I have a knee length faux sheepskin for very cold weather. Had it for years . A black faux sheepskin jacket , had it for years . A red cord coat , hip length , past it's best . A blue coat , in last years sale . A brown hooded lined waterproof hip length coat from charity shop £10. Worn it lots , had it a few months . Grey Fleece jacket . 2 beige , one turquoise light raincoats . Black leather jacket, charity shop buy. White and a black jacket both short . Black summer cotton blazer style and a light jeans jacket style one too. Probably a couple more lurking in my wardrobe that I've forgotten . I'm going to have a clear out very soon and they'll go to CS .0

Oh, coats, I thought, that's ok. I'm ok with coats ( sort of ) then you started listing things I don't categorise as coats and ......I have lots.
Tbf, I go out min three times a day all weathers, and so my fleeces / gilets etc can get soaked, so I need a few. I have one ratty coat I wear most often though:(.0 -
Dark charcoal grey military style wool coat I use for work a lot, think m&s.
Short m&s black wool jacket
As above but in red.
Navy short mac from Gap.
Brown faux fur jacker from debenhams (love this)
Light browns, mottled faux fur jacket from next
Cream faux fur jacker (next or debs I think)
Leopard print faux fur swing jacket with a deep jade green silky lining.
Grey sheepskin/suede type of jacket, nicer than it sounds, next I think.
Can't remember anymore - I would need to check wardrobes.
eta
A satin coat with a jewelled collar, can't remember shop name
Black waterproof fitted style jacket - waterproof type thing - next
Similar to above, but navy & thinly quilted.
Ive got a Gillette that I think will count, its like a brown fur jacket without sleeves
A pink tweed jacket, much nicer than it sounds.
About half a dozen suit type jackets, but we're not counting them.0 -
Coat Mountains here! A coat for every temperature, wind speed, wind chill, precipitation type, and (nearly) all outdoor activities. Could open the Coat Museum! Nuff said.
If it counts as an excuse, I lived a couple of decades in climates where I didn't need a coat ever and really missed wrapping up warm. Novelty wore off after last Winter here.

Probably too many!
Green mac, folded away, I can't decide if I should keep.
Beige mac I never wear.
Pac A Mac in the car.
Short lilac anorac that I love.
Cycling Jacket
Long black coat, good for posh do's or when it's really cold
Short black Jacket, good for work.
Blue quilted Barbour.
Padded browny/green gillet with fur trimmed collar.
Red padded gillet I never wear but is actually very nice.
Two old gardening jackets.0
