I'm sure there are one or two others. Most would have been bought from charity shops, a few on offer and a few brand new at full price but not many.
Please nobody start a thread about handbags :rotfl:0 -
God no don't start one on handbags..!!
Confession, found two Next ones in the back of the car this morning.
In my defence, all are from TKMaxx or in sales, so a bargain, other than the sheepskin zipped jacket, that was a fortune, but doesn't owe me a thing as i've had it about 25yrs and it's still good to go.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
I bought a duffle style coat in the M&S sale. Think school uniform - hood, toggles, etc. It is just above knee length, dark blue.
It is labelled two sizes bigger than the size I buy in M&S - and probably looks it.
I love it:o:o:o
So, my 'smart' black formal coat, my 'mad' embroidered cord coat, my leather coat, are all hanging there while I am wheeching about looking like Paddington.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I don't have many clothes generally but I have a lot of outerwear. I have a couple of coats, a denim jacket, 3 ponchos, 3 fleeces and a gilet because I use them when I'm walking the dogs.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Oh good, other people who have lots of coats. My DH thinks I have too many. Now I can show him this and tell him otherwise!
I have:
Per Una good coat for going out decent places in.
Pink padded coat for everyday.
Coat for work.
Regatta rain jacket.
Spotty thin jacket with hood for April showers.
Faux leather coat (not worn for years, quite probably gone a bit funny)
Fleece for the garden/tip.
Double thickness fleece.
Black jacket (smart)
Blue jacket (smart)
Brown jacket (smart)
Pinky/cream/purply jacket (smart)
Old brown anorak coat for winter walks.
Blue gilet.
cream furry gilet.
black lightweight anorak.
That's all I can think of without looking.0 -
2. A Regatta plasticky one for going on walks. And a Next black duffel style coat for everything else.0

I need to know more about your mad embroidered cord coat! I've got one too3/4 length brown chunky cord embroidered with Japanese-ish style birds front and back. It's fabulous! £12 in a charity shop too, so even better. I call him Simon.
(In addition to Simon I have:
Brian, a fake suede and sheepskin 70s vintage wonder, (bought for £12 when I was 16, I've now had him for over half my life!)
Tzarina, very Russian princess, all paisley, toggles and thick "fur" trim,
One wonderful (and as yet nameless) orange-red sixties style long jacket- 3/4 sleeves and big buttons on the round collar- always gets compliments,
Three green jackets, one belted two not (different shades and fabrics too),
One parka type jacket,
One waterproof,
One Ted Baker summer-weight jacket (£3.95 charity shop),
One neon pink 1960s Crimplene summer-weight 3/4 length coat, with dress to match.
It's shocking writing them all down, actually! I've just totted up what I've spent on the above and it comes to just under £75 though, which makes it an average of £6.70 per coat. Not tooooooo badThey call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
Two waterproofs. One on, one in the wash...
German Mess Airforce overcoat (used as coat & dressing gown whilst a student, now kept for when cold enough to merit full length coverage.)
Three puffa-type jackets, (black, airforce blue, & green) warm but not much cop in rain
Hip length black womens coat for funerals
Knee length mens black wool overcoat (temporarily shortened sleeves) for smart but not girly coverage to the knee
Plus others but plausible deniability recommends I shut up now.
My own body volume in fleeces, compressed, some of which sort of cooperate with one waterproof.
And I'd buy more long wool coats in a heartbeat at the right price.0 -
Would you say 64 jackets ,coats, fleeces, gilets bought over the last 20 years was excessive! Bearing in mind they are moneysaving - can't resist a sale rail some as cheap as £4 and the most expensive being £40. I just love tk max for those one offs and as I said sale rails. Because I have built my collection up over a long time none of them are leaving me. Ps I don't "do" handbags or shoes they don't do it for me x:o0
