What a disaster!! Finished work at 9:30 last night and made the fatal error of popping on here instead of getting an early night. Found the 'back door link', but didn't bother to fill my own basket as I didn't realise they were connected, oops. Stayed up until 05:00 with no success and fell into bed, completely defeated. Woke up at 09:00 and with the website stripped, I had to take a taxi to pick up my car and took the plunge to visit the nearest big shop. Spent £60 and got two of the three things Ii wanted, but no Washful Thinking. Definately will not waste my time or energy on the website next year I don't think unless i happen to be wide awake- just an early night and sharpened elbows needed. Hope everyone found it was worth their while- that was a looong night, for nothing :-( xxSealed Pot Challenge 7 (2014) #1851

Went to the Leeds Trinity store at 1pm. There were around 4 rows of completely empty shelves. What was left was condensed mainly on to 3.5 rows. I noticed a lot of calendars, loads of slippers (various styles), and a smallish selection of perfume and although there were only a few varieties (beyonce, nikki minaj and the small miniatures) there were a lot of these left. There was also a lot of the Jamie Oliver Olives set, the Gino aprons, monster high doll accessories, the children's circus range of toys/accessories, maze money boxes, a few Fearne boxes, didn't notice any of what I was looking out for- Mark Hill large sets, hairdryers, peppa pig watch or toys generally. It isn't surprising though since I went at 1pm but I couldn't get any sooner because of work. Makes me wonder why they don't do it on a weekend like Next do - not that they can't shift the items as it is though I suppose!
I managed to get:
Mark Hill get it straight miniatures set - £3
Blossom farm chime cow toy - £1.80
Mini fragrance collection for her £4.50
Iphone 5 photo phone cover £2.700 -
I think I got off quite lightly compared to some people on here! I didn't manage to get into Boots (Keighley) until 10.00 and really didn't expect much left. On the contrary, there was loads left and I spent £90 on stuff for birthdays through the year and Xmas gifts! I commented to the assistant that I expected it to be really busy. She said it was like a plague of locusts sweeping through when the doors first opened but, after the initial onslaught, it had been quite civilised!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

I managed to get three wonderful things worth around £50 collectively for £11 :-) they had lots of Ferne Cotton and Gok type stuff left, but not much else. What I managed to get was the last minnie mouse hairdryer set (£6.00), nandos hummous set (£3.00) and a lipgloss/purse set (£2.80).. If it wasnt for this forum I would not have known about this sale so thank you OP/MSE!
Ooh I'm going there after work. Just hoping there is a few little bits left. I'm not after much! Thanks for this!2012 Wins - May - Box of Magners. June - tickets to Udderbelly festival, Krave cereal, Trip to New York with £500 coach voucher0 -
After my first experience of early hours shopping (checked out just after 5am, felt so bad about the few of us that decided to go to bed in the half hour before) headed to the Grimsby store to see a pretty decent amount of stock at 9.15. It was pretty busy, but everybody was polite and civilised, no pushing or shoving
saw a few people I knew.
No big sets of anything, but lots of sanctuary and champneys little sets (loads of slippers!) and loads of foodie stuff. Certainly got enough gifts to deal with birthdays/occasions/xmas for this year
Hope everybody else has managed to get what they want. I know it's obviously not everybody's cup of teabut I do love the Boots sale (it's the only one I really bother with) and it was a laff having a bit of company on MSE in the wee small hours waiting for it all to kick off whilst DH was snoring his head off upstairs
Same time next year?0 -
I'm so tempted to go back out to another store! I realised that I completely forgot to look for St Tropez stuff - I got some last year in the 75% sale - did anyone see any?
On a slightly different note if we all report the troll posts as spam then hopefully MSE will remove them x0 -

Just got back in from Gloucester City Centre. I was at boots at 9,20 this morning but in those 20 minutes the bulk of the best stuff was gone. There was women shoving 5 to ten boxes of each perfume set in to their bags. There is still alot of the S&G Girl-o-whirl sets left for 12 pounds as no one seemed interested in them at all! There is also alot of the Champneys large set (rrp 50 pounds) left.
I went back in at 12 before I went home and there was only the Kate Moss perfume left and some Lipsy ones. There was loads of Royal Jelly, Fearne, Jelly bean and 17 range left and quite alot of Childs toys. (Hint: Check the basement! Lots of goodies hidden down there)
I did get one mega bargain.... They had turned one aisle in to just clearance shelves with odd bits, discontinued lines and broken down gift sets on AND I FOUND TWO YSL TOUCHE ECLATS (In shade 1,5) for 10 pounds each!!! I thought this was brilliant as they are usually 18-25 pounds and difficult to find discounted!
I bought one and left the other for someone else.
Overall people were quite polite although there was obvious annoyance over the quantity of things some people were buying (Do you really need 10 boxes of Beyonce perfume?! I know it was only 6 quid but come on...)
Going to Quedegely boots later this evening although I doubt much good will be left.0 -
I'm laughing at those on Boot's facebook page, who are threatening to become Superdrug shoppers, because they didn't get what they hoped. Anything I wanted, I bought when it was 50% off, I knew not much would be left in the 70/75% sale. Waiting & hoping is a chance that people take. Throwing dummies out and threatening to shop at Superdrug?0
