Morning all
(quickly flies in, reads, and off to work)
When it's dark when I get home from work, on go the pj's, in the summer I just change into gardening clothes mostly and go out digging or something. Put my onesie on once mrhenrescuer had finished my odd jobs and gone on Monday (worked from home that day)
When I divorced my ex, i actually took the bed in the garden and set light to it  I bought myself a new double bed, which once I bought my own house, gave to my son. I then bought a king size. I can sleep diagonally (with feet out sometimes) I have magazines, tarot cards and whatever on the bed too.
right must run. Bus is at 8 :eek:Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
I've been up quite a bit through the night with old-boy-cat, being poorly sick as opposed to just naughty sick...all cat owners will know what I mean, I'm sure.
Am waiting for vets to open so I can get him there straight away. He's very lethargic now (as am I really!). Last time he was like this, in early November, we found he had developed a liver infection and nearly died, but with the fantastic care of my lovely (if expensive) vet, he pulled through.
Please, please let him be ok.
Hopefully, I'm over -reacting, but my instincts say he needs professional help. This is one of those times when a 2nd opinion would be good. Still, got to follow my instincts...

I must admit, I don't like the trend that seems to be turning homes into clones of 4* hotels...they never seem to have any personality.

I posted this on the NP thread a couple of days ago - think it's the definition of individual!

My bathroom tiles are chipped and I'm thinking of vinyl, good to hear it's been a plus for you. Does it stand up to heels though?

I have 5 dogs, four of whom can be on the bed at once, I sleep where they let me, which is usually clinging on to the edge of the mattress:o
There is still no way I can do night attire except at night. I jsut feel too slobby in a dressing gown, and end up vegging which then makes me feel bleugh!
@Lavenderbees, paws crossed for the the old-boy that it is just a minor problem.0 -
Still catching up with this thread, so this is slightly off topic. When discussing the making of Wills a number of people mentioned concerns re care of animals - the Cinnamon Trust is a charity that takes care of pets for the elderly or terminally ill. I think the Dogs Trust may do something similar. Might be worth checking around locally to see if any rescue centers would consider something similar.
No furry babies at the moment, sadly, but I'd be so worried if I was unable to care for one properly if I became I'll.
Also to bugslet - that is seriously individual!!! Kudos to the agents for taking that one on!!! :eek:Wilson the Volleyball is one of Hollywood's most loved volleyballs. His glittering career started when he became the only companion of Tom Hanks' Chuck Noland in Cast Away. Many say this is Wilson's best performance and he couldn't have given a better effort.0 -

I saw that house and instantly thought "One for Calico Cat...I think not:rotfl:".
Ditto to hoping The Mogster is soon feeling well again.0 -
LavenderBees, fingers crossed for your baby, so scary when they're obviously feeling poorly.Wilson the Volleyball is one of Hollywood's most loved volleyballs. Dogs Trust do indeed have a programme that ensures that the hounds will be cared for. I think they can provide you with a card that you can leave in a prominent position in case of an emergency, so that it is obvious that an arrangement is in place.
Various friends are taking mine. I have asked first:p:D0 -
My goodness...am glad whoever owns that house have left the garden alone! :rotfl:
Well, I was right to take furry-purry to the vet - he's hospitalised, on a drip, and blood test results/high temperature indicate an infection of some kind (though not the liver), so he's on antibiotics, too. Likely to be in until tomorrow at least, but will get him home asap if he's improving. They've also given him something to help stop the sickness. My poor love looked rather sorry for himself...
He's also lost a bit of weight again since November. Poor love is on a downwards trend, so I guess I just do the best I can to keep looking after him, while I can.
It's certainly the tough part of pet owniing, and made tougher with the lack of hugs available at home...that's definitely a downside of being a singlie....
Please keep your fingers crossed for him. All positive vibes very very welcome0 -
