Ellie Does your puppy have a name yet?A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

3for holidays, it's not actually MY puppy, it is DS2s, so won't even be living here, just visiting...although I have my suspicions that I may become more involved than I wanted.
I was so tempted to go and visit today...to see the puppy, not DS2:rotfl:
But I restrained myself and got on with stuff at home. I have managed to get myself 2 full weeks work covering other peoples holidays, so next months wage packet should be a goodun
I am officially depressed...I decided to scare the neighbours with sight of my knees, and put on a button up dress from last year...and all the buttons where straining...it's too small
I was so miserable I cheered myself up by having some chocolate (yes, I know, it's nuts, I must do better)
I met my friend for a walk in the countryside, and she had done exactly the same today!
I WILL NOT buy any more chocolate!

I have discovered a white linen dress in my wardrobe that fits me whatever size I am :j
:rotfl:
BIG DIET starts next week....again....:o
Another lovely day today...had a fantastic early bird meal at my fave restaurant in Newcastle before going to the theatre, and laughing for 2 hours non stop :rotfl:
It's hard work holidaying!

I almost bought 5 chickens tonight...no, I'm not turning into LB, they were on a wedding gift list on the oxfam site. The whole gift list was different things like water, goats, sheep, bees...seems like quite a nice idea.
I wanted to buy chickens, but DS1 wanted clean water for 50 people, so we went with the water in the end.
Chased up the joiner today, he is going on holiday next week, and will get round to my kitchen when he comes back.
That gives me 2 weeks to actually get some work done instead of just thinking about it. There will be a lot of scrubbing things clean and preparation, which I hate doing.
It's raining, where did the heatwave go?

How gorgeous is she? :heartpuls
Thanks for posting her photo. Couldn't you just squidge her squirmy body, iykwim :rotfl:
Well, I'm not sure where my week off has gone. One minute it's the start of the week, and then fast forward to the end. Even the glorious sunshine has disappeared behind heavy rain in sympathy
But apart from chicken troubles, I've had a really lovely week. Yesterday was a bit weird as I had Maisie chook at the vets. She developed a limp on Thursday which could be nothing or something life threatening (seems nothing in between). Because of poor Coco, I completely lost my confidence to assess Maisie, but the vet confirmed nothing serious that a few days wouldn't resolve. And today, she seems much better, thank goodness :T
But apart from worrying about chooks , it's been a lovely week off, packed full of treats - gardening, bargain plants/bird bath, theatre, meals out, and culminating in a lovely manicure yesterday. Of course, the real joy has been having lovely company to do everything with.
It's going to be hard to go back to normal later today.
Hope you've all got through the week intact, and have a lovely weekend, whether the weather helps or not.
LB xx0
