Jks - you've hit it on the nail in 1001 directions..

Still feeling poorly thou not being sick, his lordship started the text, feels sorry for himself, how I was the best thing since buttered bread, he'd been drinking, gave him a few home trues about his drinking - he's lost his family, a lot of friends, jobs, relationships, that at nearly 50 he needs to man up and grow a pair.... Haven't heard from him since!

Bedrooms - I have that discussion nearly everyday - the excuse of the week.... I've got poorly tum (1st time of the month) I need to rest....

Parents evening - Dd had that slot in and managed only to get me 4 appointments.... Thou on the night it was a free for all of the teacher was free you could meet them, so what dd had planned for 40 mins - turned into 3 hrs....

She seems to forget that I've pulled most stunts over the time, know all the excuses, whether used them or not!!!! So rarely gets away with it.... They still think they can do it...

Hope everyone has a very day, - having a lazy day, pick up knitting needles later that do me for the day xx

Went to check on the laundry - for some reason the machine didn't run a spin cycle, so all the washing was dripping wet. So DD decided to hang it up in the front room anyway, dripping or not, & left it to drip all night into the carpet, onto DS's PE kit & onto some papers of mine. They even said they heard dripping, but didn't know where it was coming from :wall:

JKS I'm not surprised you feel like you're banging your head against a brick wall, you must feel as if you have to do everything by yourself.
Things which seem so obvious to us just don't seem to penetrate their heads sometimes, do they?

Good luck tonight, ignore the ex, he doesn't have to do all the day to day stuff. Have you ever tried telling him that you are happy to discuss arrangements for the children, but you're not going to listen to his opinions of yourself? If you cut him off often enough he might get the message? Then again it might make him even more awkward!

Yes, DD forgets I was ever at school :rotfl: Although my parents never went to parents evening, or read my reports, so I had an easier time of it & didn't need to duck & dive. Annoying though, as I actually did rather well academically as I was good at exams (& knew it was my ticket for getting the heck out of Dodge) & it would have been nice to hear someone praise me.

Am back off to dry a bit more of my carpet with the hairdryer. Oh the exciting day I'm having :D
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

It's gone very quiet on here, are you all out doing lovely fun things? :D

I'm not, I've just got in after a very long day out, and am sitting eating cheese and pickle sandwiches for tea, too tired to cook properly.

I'm off to refill my tea mug :)

    Hi Ellie

Sadly not out doing lovely things. I've also had a long day with travel trauma on top of a cruddy day (and week!) at work. I had leftovers for tea as also couldn't be bothered to cook.

Nowt wrong with cheese and pickle butties :p

Have you got any plans for the BH weekend?

I'm indoors too. Just sitting here thinking I am fed up of being head chef. I am fed up of food. Fed up shopping for it, trying to figure out what to cook etc and the boy doesn't like much anyway. To top it off my official allergy tests have been done. I am allergic to eggs (I love poached eggs, sob), chicken, mushrooms (love those too) and tomatoes. I need someone to invent a pill that you have instead of eating that gives you all the nutrients and stops you feeling hungry.

Sorry you've had a bad day BookWorm.

I haven't, I'm not sure if it's a bank holiday in Scotland, I think it's the one at the end of the month we get. Will be interesting to see if my company cancel the holiday like they did with easter Monday.

This weekend I have Sunday and Monday off, then back to work Tuesday, so like a bank holiday anyway :)

I really need to think of something nice to do, I'll have the house to myself as DS1 is away (he has exciting holiday plans :rotfl:)

Oooh that sounds good.... other than I actually enjoy eating food

Sorry to hear you can't eat poached eggs anymore. Did the tests say it's all the egg or is it just the yolk or the white?

Oh that just sucks CRANKY40, and they're all things which are considered good for you as well.

I hate being head chef, it's *every* single* day* ...they want to eat every day :rotfl:

Yesterday I invited DS2 round for tea but he said he couldn't come because he was working late. So I have my calorie counted tea in the oven, 5 minutes until it's ready, and he phones to say he got away early and is there still food?
So I have to split 2 meals into 3, and it's not enough, so I make choc sponge and custard to fill them up (and I have some, and spoil my dieting day :o)

I could have said no, but I know he has nothing in and is skint.

I would love it if I didn't have to feed people every day :D
