    Hey All,

Sounds like you've been having a good weekend. We didn't quite get snow but the wind is chilly despite the sunshine, and it rained for hours this morning, which nicely gets me off planting my spuds.

I don't understand this not wanting to cook as I am totally led by my stomach ...literally as well as figuratively (unfortunately ;)), so I will happily stand and cook for myself. I wake thinking of food, and go to sleep thinking of food :D

But I must admit, it is even better to have a meal made for me. It happens very rarely these days, but I really do appreciate it!

I was up early today, so prepp'd my veges for my Sunday "lunch", and now I can smell my chicken roasting, and no effort from me. It's almost like someone else is cooking it! :T

Well, my training days went well, and I had some lovely positive feedback at the end, and yes, I am going to fill out the application form and see where the assessment takes me. I went into the training feeling excited, but very daunted, and now I am still excited but only daunted, so that's progress :rotfl:.

Thanks so much for your support! It is very much appreciated.

I have some reading to do now, but mostly I am going to relax. I feel like I have so much to think about, and it's going to be a killer going to normal work tomorrow. My real life feels so far away....it's very bizarre!

    LB xx

ETA - neither David Cassidy nor Donny Osmond. I was a weird kid...don't all laugh but it was Barry Manilow for me :o. Is that enough to stop me fostering??! :rotfl:

I know it's difficult getting the help right and I know that she is trying to be fiercely independent, but as a daughter I was continually offering and being asked to give a hand with certain matters. She has been asking me to help her with things that I have thought it would have been more appropriate for her daughter to do, and on a couple of occasions I have made excuses in order that she would ask her daughter to help her.

David for me too along with the BCR :o :rotfl:

    Sorry LB, I'm laughing :D

Wasn't keen on the BCR at all, although some of their songs were catchy to sing along. Did you have a black jacket with a tartan lining? :)

Also had posters of Starsky and Hutch and several footballers...Saturday night was Starsky and Hutch, followed by Match of the Day.
My parents never once complained about all the drawing pin holes in the walls :)

If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?

I had flowery wallpaper so didnt notice pinholes.

I did have a tartan scarf but didnt go for the jacket, trousers or shirts, believe it or I did knit a cardi similar to Starsky's :rotfl:

Also had a couple of the E$$0 tiger posters, they were brilliant, no footballers but Kenny Dalglish was a bit of a eye candy :D

It's blooming cold here, no snow though...

I got busy in the kitchen after checking my fridge and realising I had five caulis...I love cauliflower, it's so versatile but five! :o Anyway spent a messy time turning them into cauliflower rice, and now have several bags in the freezer. Had some for dinner, fried in garlic, with chicken thighs, roasted in lemon, onion salt, and Leeks, it was lush.

As for dieting, I honestly have to pretty much not eat anything to lose weight...since going to the gym I've put on weight, so epic fail...even the motivation of getting 12 weeks free if I lost 2kilo wasn't motivation! :o

I think some of the meds I take don't help, plus self diagnosing, I think I have fibromyalgia...have done for some time but can't face talking to Dr about it. Currently hurt all over, with pressure point pains...but the extreme tiredness is the worst. Don't want to sound poor me...:rotfl::cool: maybe it's just ageing?! :p

My first band crush was The Monkees...:D. Never was a Beatles fan.

I love cauli too and had it tonight along with some gammon and a cheesy mustard sauce, but really didn't enjoy it. I love my veggies but the changes in some of them through freezing are really beginning to put me off. Although Ive picked up loads of MSE food tips on the forum not all of them suit me, but the way you did yours sounds really nice.

I wasn't much of a fan of the beatles either, but loved the monkeys and my group of friends managed to replicate their crossover walk pretty well :rotfl:
